Pokémon Go’s Halloween 2024 Part 2 is here, bringing spooky surprises like the debut of costumed Froakie and Rowlet, the fearsome Gigantamax Gengar in Six-Star Max Battles, and double Candy rewards to boost your collection. From October 28 to November 3, dive into a haunted world filled with shiny Pokémon, rare candies, and eerie adventures that will make this Halloween unforgettable.

The event also features some pretty good candy bonuses: doubled candy for catching Pokémon and an increased chance to get XL Candy when you hit nice throws or better (as long as you’re level 31 or higher). Costumed Pokémon will also have a chance to drop rare candy when caught with a nice throw or better.

There are also increased chances to find Pokémon shiny, specifically when you raid or hatch eggs, which we detail more below.

Many parts of the first part of the Halloween event are still ongoing, including the Spiritomb Challenge, Morpeko Onesie paid research, and Costume Party paid research.

The Pokémon Go ’Halloween 2024 Part 2’ event, running from October 28 to November 3, features exclusive Field Research tasks with rewards including encounters with costumed Pokémon such as Witch Hat Pikachu, Spooky Festival Vulpix, Halloween Piplup, Froakie, Rowlet, as well as Spiritomb, Morpeko, and Spooky Festival Gengar. Tasks include catching 10 Pokémon, catching 15 Ghost or Dark-type Pokémon, evolving three Pokémon, and winning multiple raids, with rewards like Mega Energy for Gengar, Houndoom, Sableye, Banette, and Absol. Additional bonuses during the event include double Candy for catches, increased chances for XL Candy for players level 31 and above, and enhanced shiny encounter rates, especially in raids and egg hatching. Gigantamax Gengar also debuts in six-star Max Battles during this period.

Spinning a PokéStop during the event period may yield one of these tasks:

  • Win a raid (Gengar [Halloween costume] encounter)
  • Win 2 Raids (Morpeko encounter)
  • Win 3 Raids (Spiritomb encounter)
  • Catch 10 Pokémon (Pikachu [witch hat], Vulpix [Halloween costume], or Piplup [Halloween costume] encounter)

During the Pokémon Go Halloween 2024 Part 2 event, running from October 28 to November 3, players will experience boosted spawns of various Halloween-themed and costumed Pokémon. Notable increased wild spawns include Pikachu (witch hat), Vulpix (Halloween costume), Shuppet, Piplup (Halloween costume), Woobat, Zorua (with a higher shiny encounter rate), Froakie and Rowlet in Halloween costumes, Inkay, Phantump, and Pumpkaboo (Halloween costume). Additionally, these Pokémon have increased shiny odds in raids and eggs, with special debut appearances for costumed Froakie and Rowlet. The event also features double candy for catches and the debut of Gigantamax Gengar in Max Battles.

During the Pokémon Go Halloween 2024 Part 2 event, which runs from October 28 to November 3, players have an increased chance to hatch special Halloween-themed Pokémon from 7 km eggs. These include Vulpix wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Pichu with a witch hat, Froakie in a Halloween costume, and Rowlet also sporting a Halloween costume. Additionally, there is an increased chance to hatch shiny versions of these costumed Pokémon, making egg hatching particularly rewarding during the event.
