After completing the “Deep Diving” quest and crafting a snorkel, players can dive underwater to find Hangyodon’s Comedy Club in the Rainbow Reef biome, where the working espresso machine is located. Building friendship with Hangyodon by giving him gifts will provide candlenuts, essential for crafting drinks with the machine. The espresso machine can be upgraded at friendship level 4 with Hangyodon to allow recipes with more ingredients. In order to get there, you’ll need to unlock swimming and diving, the latter which unlocks from a quest after hitting friendship level six with Kuromi. You upgrade the espresso machine pretty early into Hangyudon’s relationship. You only need to hit friendship level four with Hangyodon to upgrade the espresso machine. Once you do, you can add a second ingredient to the espresso, allowing you to make more stuff.
If you’re looking to level up friendship with Hangyodon quickly, you can give him fish. The fish from around Rainbow Reef works really well, as most of them will fulfill two hearts for them.

Note that there are a limited-time recipes – the “50th Anniversary Frappe” and the “50th Anniversary Latte” – but they’re not counted as part of the collections page and you can’t make them consistently, as they use a limited-time material, so we don’t have them on our list.
There are also multiple recipes for the same drink, but they are registered individually in your collections. For example, using cinna blooms or magma blooms will both give you Chai, but it will register as “Chai Recipe (Cinna Blooms)” and “Chai Recipe (Magma Blooms)” in your collections, so you may want to make all of these to collect all the recipes fully.
