Where to find demons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, demons can be found primarily near circular portals scattered across the map, with only a few portals active in each match. Key demon types include the Medallion Bosses Shogun X and Night Rose, as well as Demon Warriors accompanied by Demon Grunts. Players can locate demons by looking for shogun helmet icons on the map at the start of the match, which indicate their spawn points. Notable demon spawn locations include Shogun’s Solitude, Spiral Shoots south of Masked Meadows, Kappa Kappa Farm, Overlook Lighthouse, Lost Lake, areas along the river northeast of Magic Mosses, and west of Flooded Frogs. The Demon’s Dojo serves as a major hub, especially for Night Rose. Engaging these demons is part of quests like “Damage Demons” and “Eliminate Demons to Collect Fresh Essence,” with demons dropping valuable loot and essences upon defeat.
There are three demons you’ll find on the BR island in C6S1: Shogun X, Night Rose, and a Demon Warrior. Shogun X and Night Rose are this season’s big bosses – they drop medallions – so they’re going to be tough fights. If you’re looking for an easier target, you’ll want the Demon Warrior.
Night Rose is the only demon that’s always in the same place – Demon’s Dojo. The others spawn randomly(ish) around the map.
You’ll be able to find Shogun X with his large oni mask icon on the map – and later, the red rift icon when the Shogun Arena appears.

The Demon Warrior also spawns randomly, but always near one of seven demon portals. The Demon Warrior (and his two goons) have a samurai helmet-like icon. Check the locations on the map above for the icon to find them.
A trio of demons – a Demon Lieutenant and two Demon Grunts – will also guard the Forecast Tower.
Damaging any of the demons (including the Demon Warrior’s lackeys) will fulfill Kendo’s story quest.
How to collect Fresh Essence
To collect Fresh Essence in Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 1, you need to eliminate demons scattered across the island. Focus on locations marked with demon icons on the map, such as Shogun’s Solitude, Demon’s Dojo, and Warrior’s Watch, where demons spawn regularly. Each demon you defeat drops one Fresh Essence, so you must eliminate a total of ten demons to gather enough essence. Since only a limited number of demons appear per match, you may need to visit these locations multiple times or play several matches to complete the collection. Using powerful weapons like the Typhoon Blade can make defeating demons easier. Keep an eye on the map for demon icons to efficiently track and eliminate them for Fresh Essence.
For stage five of Kendo’s quests, you’ll have to eliminate demons to collect Fresh Essence. For this step, only the Demon Warrior and its lackeys count – you won’t get essence by going after Night Rose or Shogun X. You can also get essence from the Demon Lieutenant and Grunts that guard the Forecast Tower.
How to ’Acquire a map from a defeated Demon Warrior’
To acquire a map from a defeated Demon Warrior in Fortnite, you need to locate and defeat one of these boss-type enemies that spawn randomly near the seven Demon Portals scattered across the island. Look for the white samurai helmet icon on your in-game map to find their spawn points. Each Demon Warrior is accompanied by two smaller Demon Grunts who are not initially hostile, so it’s best to eliminate them first. The Demon Warrior itself has over 400 health and wears a distinctive Fire Oni Mask, so equip strong weapons and plenty of shields for the fight. After defeating the Demon Warrior, it will drop a rolled-up map on the ground-pick this up to complete the “Acquire a Map From a Defeated Demon Warrior” step in the “Splinters of Possibility” quest. Note that not all Demon Portals spawn a Demon Warrior every match, so check your map carefully at the start of the game.
For stage five of the “Splinters of Possibility” story quest line, you’ll have to acquire a map from a defeated Demon Warrior. The easiest way to complete the quest is to start a new game and check your map in the battle bus for the samurai helmet-like icon. Drop onto that location and focus on defeating the Demon Warrior, which is the larger of the three enemies. Once defeated, pick up the map to finish the quest.
Where are the best spots to find Fresh Essence in Fortnite
The best spots to find Fresh Essence in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are around Demon Warrior locations near the seven demon portals scattered across the map, as well as at Demon Dojo in the top right of the map where Night Rose consistently appears. Additionally, the area around Shogun Solitude is a prime location to encounter demons like Shogun X and other minions that drop Fresh Essence. Defeating smaller demon guards protecting weather towers and the Demon Warrior’s minions is an efficient way to collect Fresh Essence quickly. Players can also target Demon Lieutenants and Grunts near the Forecast Tower for additional essence drops.
