In this Astro Bot guide, we’ll walk you through how to unlock hidden levels and show you where to find all hidden levels.

How to unlock hidden levels in Astro Bot

To unlock hidden levels in Astro Bot, you need to explore each nebula thoroughly and complete all main planets first. Hidden levels often appear as small planetoids scattered around the nebula, which become visible after finishing other planets and defeating the boss. To reveal these levels, fly your spaceship around the nebula and collide with these hidden planets or objects; within about 20 seconds, an event will trigger, unlocking the hidden level. Additionally, some hidden levels are accessed through secret exits found by activating disco balls within certain stages, leading to new planets in the Lost Galaxy. Collecting all bots and puzzle pieces is also essential for unlocking the ultimate secret level, the Great Master Challenge.

When you first unlock a nebula in Astro Bot, you’ll have access to one planet. As you complete more levels, more planets will appear, until eventually you’re able to face the boss. However, there are a ton of little planetoids hidden in the nebulas, all of which house a bot. There are even some puzzle pieces that have been abducted by aliens, which you’ll need to chase around the screen to collect.

To get these hidden levels to appear, just fly around until they pop up! Now, there are some caveats there that make it a bit more complex, but generally speaking it’s that simple.

Oftentimes these events won’t show up until you’ve completed other planets in the nebula, so it’s best to wait until you’ve completed all of the core planets before poking around for new ones. Once you’ve finished the nebula’s boss and iconic level, just fly around the screen, bumping into the planets. Eventually – usually within 20 seconds – some event will show up on screen, prompting you to investigate.

All of these events are very straightforward. Most of the time you just need to bump into the planet with your ship and it’ll turn into a level. Other times you might need to fly through a bunch of asteroids, swirl around some space debris, or chase down an alien carrying a puzzle piece.

In four of the five nebulas, you’ll eventually find voids shaped like one of the four PlayStation buttons. By launching those levels and running through to the end, you’ll unlock four new challenges in that nebula, themed after an X, Circle, Square, or Triangle.

If you’ve flown around for 15 to 20 seconds and nothing is showing up, try backing out of the nebula and coming back in. Sometimes doesn’t spawn more than one event per trip.

Unlocking all hidden levels is essential for full game completion and rescuing every bot, with some nebulas also featuring challenge levels unlocked by completing hidden stages shaped like PlayStation button icons.

What secret levels in Astro Bot are easiest to unlock first

The easiest secret levels to unlock first in Astro Bot are found in the Gorilla Nebula, the game’s initial area. Among the three hidden levels there, Retro Rampage 1 is the simplest to access early on. After defeating the Sky Garden level and unlocking more planets, a cluster of rock circles appears on the map’s top left. Flying Astro Bot over and destroying these rocks quickly before they disappear triggers the hidden level to spawn. This level is a quick combat challenge and serves as a good introduction to secret levels.

Additionally, the other two hidden levels in Gorilla Nebula, Rolling Star Sola and Crumble Rumble 1, unlock after defeating the area’s boss, Mighty Chewy. Since Gorilla Nebula lacks the more complex Void challenge levels found in other nebulas, it is generally considered the easiest zone for unlocking secret content.

In summary, starting with Gorilla Nebula’s hidden levels, especially Retro Rampage 1, provides the easiest and most accessible secret levels for new players to unlock in Astro Bot.

Which hidden levels in Astro Bot are most accessible early on

The most accessible hidden levels early on in Astro Bot are located in the Gorilla Nebula, the first area you encounter in the game. This nebula features three hidden levels-Rolling Star Sola, Retro Rampage 1, and Crumble Rumble 1-which can be unlocked relatively easily compared to other nebulas since there are no challenge levels here.

Specifically, Retro Rampage 1 is often considered the easiest to unlock early because you can trigger it by flying over certain rock formations after completing some initial planets in the nebula. Additionally, some hidden levels can be found by interacting with secret exits in main levels like Creamy Canyon and Az-Tech Trail, also within Gorilla Nebula, which are accessible early in the game.

In summary, starting your search for hidden levels in Gorilla Nebula offers the most straightforward and earliest opportunities to unlock secret content in Astro Bot.
