All secret exits in Astro Bot
Astro Bot features 10 secret exits spread across its main worlds, each unlocking hidden levels within the mysterious Lost Galaxy nebula. These secret exits are often well concealed, requiring players to explore thoroughly, solve mini-puzzles, or interact with specific objects such as extinguishing torches or using special abilities. Unlocking these exits not only grants access to new stages but also helps in rescuing additional bots and collecting puzzle pieces. After finding all 10 secret exits, players can unlock an 11th secret level, completing the full set of hidden challenges in the game.

There are 10 planets in Astro Bot that have a special swirl icon next to them in addition icons for any bots and puzzle pieces associated with that level. This denotes that there’s also a hidden disco ball in the level, which will turn into a secret exit that opens up an entirely new planet.
These secret can also be pretty tricky to locate, appearing after bosses are dead or completely obscured from view, but you’ll need to find them all if you’re trying to rescue every bot; the secret levels unlocked by the secret exits each have five bots and two puzzle pieces.
The following levels have secret exits:
- Az-Tech Trail (Gorilla Nebula)
- Creamy Canyon (Gorilla Nebula)
- Go-Go Archipelago (Tentacle System)
- Downsize Surprise (Tentacle System)
- Bathhouse Battle (Serpent Starway)
- Free Big Brother! (Serpent Starway)
- Hieroglitch Pyramid (Camo Cosmos)
- Balloon Breeze (Camo Cosmos)
- Djinny of the Lamp (Feather Cluster)
- Frozen Meal (Feather Cluster)
Note: When you take a secret exit, it will not count as completing the level normally, so you’ll need to replay the 10 levels below at least twice if you’re looking to get a gold flag on every planet.
Az-Tech Trail secret exit
In the Az-Tech Trail level of Astro Bot, the secret exit is accessed by using the snake gloves to pull a red square from the wall, which spawns a bug enemy. Players must then use this bug as a bounce pad to reach an upper area where they need to punch out all four torches on a wall. Extinguishing these torches triggers the opening of a hidden wall, revealing the secret exit that leads to a new stage in the Lost Galaxy. This exit is essential for unlocking additional content and rescuing more bots within the game.

The secret exit in Az-Tech Trail is midway through the level, after you get the frog boxing gloves.

Continue until you use the sticky rollers to grapple your way into a dark room with four torches on the wall and a matryoshka doll enemy. Defeat the enemy and use the nearby sticky switch to liberate a ladybug trampoline.

On the wall near the torches, you’ll see four monkey faces. Use your alligator-fist gloves to destroy all four torches on the wall. (You’ll need to use the ladybug to reach the upper two.) This will open a hidden door. Behind this mysterious door is the first disco ball. Open it to leave the level early and unlock the Fan Club level in the Lost Galaxy.
Creamy Canyon secret exit
In Creamy Canyon, the secret exit is cleverly hidden behind an ice sculpture near a platform covered in sprinkles. To unlock it, you need to grab the pink pig enemy, turn around, and throw it backward at the ice sculpture. This action reveals a blue cross that Astro Bot can drill down into using his charged spin attack, leading to the secret exit hidden beneath. This exit opens access to a hidden level in the Lost Galaxy, essential for collecting more bots and puzzle pieces.

The secret exit in Creamy Canyon is relatively early in the level.

Progress the level normally until you reach the ladybug trampoline burrowed in the snow. If you jump on it, you’ll notice a rather large seal made out of ice perched on a nearby tower. Ignore this for now and continue a bit further up the path, where you’ll find a charging pig. Dodge the pig and then grab its tail to spin it around and around. But instead of throwing the big at the big block of ice blocking your path, turn around and aim at the ice seal you just passed.

When you see the arrow appear above the seal, let the pig fly. The pig will crash into the seal, shattering it. Use the ladybug to reach where the seal used to be and use your charged melee to dig into the pillar. When you land, the disco ball will be right in front of you. Open it to unlock the Funky Fungi level in the Lost Galaxy.
Go-Go Archipelago secret exit
After defeating the Captain Pincher mini-boss at the end of Go-Go Archipelago, players should turn around to spot his claw resting in the sand near a tree stump, marked by a blue X. Performing a spinning punch on this spot will reveal a secret entrance leading to Captain Pincher’s hidden treasure hoard and the Lost Galaxy warp portal for Go-Go Archipelago. This secret exit unlocks access to a hidden level, rewarding thorough exploration and combat mastery in the stage.

The secret exit in Go-Go Archipelago doesn’t appear until after you defeat the boss at the end of the level.
Proceed through the level like normal until you reach the large mountain. As you climb up using your monkey backpack, you’ll see a map carved on a wall with a red X near the skull. Finish climbing and defeat Captain Pincher.

Once Pincher is down, his two pinchers will slam back into the arena, alongside the normal exit. Do not take the normal exit, and instead find the pincher on the right side of the arena, in the bottom right corner, near where you climbed up. There will be a drill spot between the pincher. Charge up your melee and dig down.

You’ll find yourself in a hidden cave filled with diamonds and the giant disco ball. Run up to the ball and activate it to reveal the secret exit, which will unlock the Light Bulb Limbo level in the Lost Galaxy.
Downsize Surprise secret exit
In the Downsize Surprise level of Astro Bot, the secret exit is cleverly hidden after the bedroom area. Instead of heading to the top of the structure to finish the level, players should transform Astro into his mouse form and ride a bubble upwards. When reaching the cage, don’t jump off immediately; instead, ascend slightly higher to land on a branch above. Following this branch leads to another branch with a hidden power switch. Activating this switch causes the secret exit to materialize, granting access to a hidden stage in the Lost Galaxy. This secret exit requires careful exploration and use of Astro’s abilities to uncover.

The secret exit in Downsize Surprise is close to the end of the level.

Progress through normally until after you exit the bedroom and climb the big tree (where you can find the Prince bot from Katamari). On the landing, take a left and laser the glass-covered grate with your feet. This will expose a fan. Shrink down and ride the wind to the next floor.

Approach the mechanical frog and blow in your controller’s microphone (or simply mute the mic and the game will do it for you). Once the frog is activated, it’ll start blowing bubbles. Shrink down and ride the bubbles up the tree (make sure to rescue the caged bot on the way).

When you reach the branches, jump off and over to the disco ball. Hit the button to reveal the secret exit, which will unlock the Boxel Bust-Up level in the Lost Galaxy.
Bathhouse Battle secret exit
In Bathhouse Battle, the secret exit is cleverly hidden inside a flaming chimney located near a large red torii gate. To access it, players must first use the sponge power-up to soak up water, climb onto a cherry blossom tree, and extinguish the flames on the chimney. Once the fire is put out, Astro Bot can jump inside the chimney, where a Lost Galaxy warp portal awaits, guarded by an enemy that must be avoided or defeated. Activating this secret exit unlocks the Lost Galaxy level called Furnace Fever, offering players a challenging new stage to explore.

In Bathhouse Battle, you’ll find the secret exit about midway through the level.

Collect the sponge power up and proceed until you find the area with the large pool (filled with rubber ducks) near a building with a burning chimney. You’ll know you’re in the right spot because there will be a large bamboo chute on your left and a dirty mural on your right. Defeat the enemies, fill yourself up with water, and take the right, destroying the wall with the sponges.

Climb the wall, fill yourself up with water again, and take a left onto the rooftop. Jump across the gap and climb the cherry blossom tree so you can reach the flaming chimney. Douse the flames and jump inside.

When you land, you’ll instantly spot the disco ball. Take out the enemy and use the secret exit to unlock the Furnace Fever level.
Free Big Brother! secret exit
The secret exit in the “Free Big Brother!” level of Astro Bot can be found right at the start. After gaining control of Astro, turn around to spot a large stone door with platforms between two pillars in the water. Jump onto the platform to spawn a lightning alien, then lure it to zap both pillars until they light up. Once both pillars are charged, defeat the alien to open the door, revealing the secret exit that leads to the hidden Lost Galaxy stage “Ghouls & Bots.” This exit is essential for unlocking additional content and collecting all bots and puzzle pieces in the level.

The secret exit in Free Big Brother! appears at the very beginning of the mission.

Once you gain control of Astro, turn around and you’ll see a ruin in the water behind you, with a platform in-between two pillars. Swim over and jump onto the middle platform, which will spawn a lightning alien above you. Do not kill it. (If you do, just walk away and it’ll respawn.)
Lure it to the pillar to your right or left, which you’ll notice is an unelectrified platform. Wait for it to wind up its move and then dodge. If done correctly, the lightning will strike the pillar, activating it. Do this until both pillars are lit up and then kill the alien.

The door to the ruin will now open, and you’ll see the disco ball floating above. Open it to unlock the Ghouls & Bots level.
Hieroglitch Pyramid secret exit
The secret exit in Hieroglitch Pyramid is located near the very end of the stage, close to the regular exit. After completing the downhill metal ball sequence and reaching the treasure room, instead of going to the official flag, players should jump to the platform on the right. Using a spin attack, clear away the gems to reveal some fragile wooden planks. Break through these planks in metal ball form to activate a bounce pad that launches Astro Bot to a hidden area. There, players must quickly solve two touch-sensitive puzzles by pushing green tiles against the clock to avoid being crushed by walls. Successfully completing this challenge unlocks the secret Lost Galaxy exit, granting access to a special level called Rocket Pull Power.

The secret exit in Hieroglitch Pyramid is at the very end of the level, after you’ve slid down the spikey path and made it to the normal exit.

Instead of taking the normal exit, look to your right and you’ll see a platform with jewels raining down on top of it. Past that platform, you’ll see another covered in the same jewels. Jump to the far platform and use your spin move to push some of the gems away. You’ll see a wooden floor underneath, so use your cannonball backpack to slam it, which will launch you into the sky and up to a rumble wall.

Open the rumble wall and proceed forward. You’ll spot the disco ball, but you’ll also activate another trap: a big, moving rumble wall at the end of the hallway. Walk into it and find the weak spot.

Push through two walls in time to reach the secret exit, which will unlock the Rocket Pull Power level in the Lost Galaxy.
Balloon Breeze secret exit
The Balloon Breeze secret exit in Astro Bot is located near the start of the level, right after obtaining the octopus (pufferfish) power-up. To unlock it, players must turn around and use a combination of the ladybug enemy as a trampoline, Astro’s boosters, and the pufferfish power-up to reach a floating flower pot. Clearing the flower petals with a spin attack activates a lever that raises a hidden island. Using the float ability again, players reach this new island, activate a shuriken launcher to cut bamboo, and reveal a hidden platform. Circling the robotic face on this platform lights up spots that, once all are activated, cause the Lost Galaxy disco ball to appear, revealing the secret exit. This exit leads to the Danger Dojo level in the Lost Galaxy.

The secret exit in Balloon Breeze is near the start of the level, the moment you get the octopus power-up.

Take the backpack from Big Brother’s hand and turn around. You’ll see a flower pot floating in the sky. Punch the ladybug trampoline so it’s as close to the pot as possible, then jump on it and activate your power-up mid-air. Float over to the pot and use your spin move to clear the debris on top.

You’ll find a flower lever under all the detritus. Activate the lever to spawn a new platform. Float up and use the ninja star device to cut the bamboo until you’re able to reach the platform inside.

Hover over the edge of the platform to activate it. Once you’ve hit every piece of the edge, the disco ball will appear. Take the secret exit to unlock the Danger Dojo level in the Lost Galaxy.
Djinny of the Lamp secret exit
After defeating the Djinny boss in the “Djinny of the Lamp” level, instead of taking the regular exit, players should turn around and climb the ledge behind them. By carefully observing the stone squares on the ground, which indicate the positions of invisible platforms, players can align Astro’s shadow to navigate across these hidden platforms. Using the dog-shaped jetpack for longer jumps, they can reach a rolled-up magic carpet on a higher ledge. Punching the carpet unrolls it, allowing Astro to ride it up to the secret Lost Galaxy warp portal, unlocking the hidden level “High-Suction Hero”.

The secret exit in Djinny of the Lamp is at the very end of the level, after you defeat the Djinny.

Once you land in the final room, where the normal exit appears on top of the lamp, turn around and climb up the stone wall behind you. At the top, break the pot and you’ll notice that the shards appear to float ahead of you. Walk out onto the invisible platform and look down at the sand below you. You’ll see the stone platforms many feet under Astro will start to glow while you’re above them.

Carefully jump onto the invisible platforms above the other sunken stones in the desert until you reach the other side (remember to use your booster dog). Punch the magic carpet and ride it up to the disco ball. Open it and take the secret exit to unlock the High-Suction Hero level in the Lost Galaxy.
Frozen Meal secret exit
The secret exit in Frozen Meal is located near the end of the level, just before the boss fight with the snowman. To unlock it, players must first clear a checkpoint area by defeating four electrified enemies without stepping on too much snow. Then, they need to interact with two penguins playing with a snowball, knocking the large snowball away and rolling it around in the snow to make it grow. Once the snowball is large enough, roll it to a ledge on the left side of the area, climb onto it, and use Astro Bot’s ability to remove ice blocks from the wall, revealing the hidden secret exit behind it. This exit leads to a Lost Galaxy secret level, rewarding players with additional bots and puzzle pieces to collect.

The secret exit in Frozen Meal is near the very end of the level, before you jump off the platform to fight the snowman.

Instead of leaping to the boss fight, approach the large snowball that’s being nurtured by two penguins – after you defeat all the enemies. Grab the snowball from them and roll it around until it gets nice and big. Then look for a wall that has two little blocks on the side and an open spot in the middle. Push the snowball into the space between the blocks.

Climb up the snowball, pull the wire, and activate the vacuum device. Suck up all the ice blocks and head inside the tropical oasis to find the disco ball. Activate it to use the secret exit and unlock the Turtles in Trash level in the Lost Galaxy.
How to unlock the secret level in the Lost Galaxy
To unlock the secret levels in the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot, you need to find hidden secret exits in specific regular levels across the five main galaxies. These secret exits are marked by a swirl or “wormhole” icon and often involve discovering and pulling a hidden disco ball to reveal a golden warp portal. Activating this portal teleports you to a Lost Galaxy secret level. There are two secret levels per galaxy, totaling ten, and after completing all ten, a final 11th secret level called the “Final Encore” unlocks. This last level appears as a present in the Lost Galaxy nebula and can be accessed by flying over and activating it.

Once you’ve beaten all 10 of the Lost Galaxy levels (although it’s currently unclear if you also need to get the 100% completion gold flag on these levels as well), a present will appear in the middle of the nebula. Fly over and activate the present to enter the Final Encore level, which has five bots and two puzzle pieces – just like the rest of the Lost Galaxy levels.
Want to discover how to unlock the elusive 11th secret level in Astro Bot
To unlock the elusive 11th secret level in Astro Bot, known as the “Final Encore,” you must first discover and complete all 10 secret levels hidden within the Lost Galaxy. Each of these 10 secret levels is accessed through secret exits found in the main worlds, marked by a unique swirl icon that transforms into a secret exit when activated. Once you have finished all 10 secret levels, the 11th secret level will automatically unlock and appear in the center of the Lost Galaxy map, offering a final challenging stage to complete your adventure.
How do I activate the secret swirl icon to unlock the 11th level in Astro Bot
To activate the secret swirl icon and unlock a secret exit in Astro Bot, you need to locate a hidden disco ball within the level, which is usually concealed behind puzzles or mini-challenges. When you find the disco ball, interact with it-often by hitting a button or completing a small task like extinguishing fires, destroying torches, or activating switches nearby. This action will transform the swirl icon into an active secret exit that teleports you to a hidden Lost Galaxy level.
Each swirl icon on the level select screen indicates the presence of such a secret exit in that level. Thorough exploration and solving these mini-puzzles are essential to reveal the disco ball and activate the exit. Once you have unlocked and completed all 10 secret levels accessed through these swirl icons, the 11th secret level, “Final Encore,” will unlock in the center of the Lost Galaxy.
