Pokémon Go Horizons The Series Celebration Event Guide Research Charcadet Debut Schedule

Guides

Step into the world of Pokémon like never before with the Pokémon GO “Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration” event, running from April 16 to April 22, 2025. This exciting event marks the debut of the Paldea region’s Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton, alongside special appearances by beloved characters from the Pokémon Horizons anime series. Trainers can also enjoy boosted spawns, half-distance egg hatching, and the chance to catch shiny Pikachu and Floragato sporting iconic hats from the show-making it a week packed with adventure and exclusive rewards for all Pokémon GO fans.

The biggest addition in this event is Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge. During the event, any 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km eggs you get will have a chance to hatch a Charcadet. After the event ends, it’ll only be in 10 km eggs, so this is the best chance to grab one.

There’s also doubled XP gained for hatching Pokémon and Team Go Rocket balloons will show up more often.

If you take snapshots during the event, you might get photobombed by the anime characters, leading to spawns of Charizard, Pikachu, Sprigatito, and Fuecoco. You can do this up to five times a day.

We list out all the other event perks below for the Pokémon Go and Pokémon Horizons tie-in event.

How can I maximize my chances of catching Tinkatink and its evolutions during the event

To maximize your chances of catching Tinkatink and its evolutions during the Pokémon GO “Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration” event, focus primarily on hatching 7 km eggs obtained from opening Gifts, as Tinkatink is exclusive to these eggs during the event period (April 16-22, 2025). Here are key strategies:

  • Prioritize clearing your egg inventory by hatching 2 km eggs first to free up slots for more 7 km eggs, increasing the number of potential Tinkatink hatches.

  • Only open Gifts when you have an egg slot available to maximize the number of 7 km eggs you collect during the event.

  • Take advantage of the event’s half-distance egg hatch bonus, which reduces the distance needed to hatch 7 km eggs to 3.5 km, allowing you to hatch more eggs faster and thus increase your chances.

  • Consider completing the paid Timed Research quest ($4.99) if you want a guaranteed encounter with Tinkatink, but note it must be completed before the event ends.

  • Collect Tinkatink Candy from hatching and research to evolve it into Tinkatuff (25 Candy) and then Tinkaton (100 Candy).

Avoid relying on wild encounters since Tinkatink is primarily egg-exclusive during the event. Using these methods will maximize your odds of catching and evolving Tinkatink efficiently within the event timeframe.

How can I increase my chances of hatching Tinkatink during the event

To increase your chances of hatching Tinkatink during the Pokémon GO “Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration” event, focus on the following strategies:

  • Prioritize hatching 7 km Eggs, which are obtained by opening Gifts from friends, as Tinkatink is exclusive to these eggs during the event.

  • Clear your egg inventory by hatching 2 km eggs first to free up slots for more 7 km eggs, allowing you to collect and hatch more event eggs.

  • Only open Gifts when you have an egg slot available, so you maximize the number of 7 km eggs you receive during the event.

  • Take advantage of the event’s half-distance hatch bonus, which reduces the distance needed to hatch 7 km eggs to 3.5 km, enabling you to hatch more eggs faster and thus increasing your chances of encountering Tinkatink.

  • Consider completing the paid Timed Research quest ($4.99) that guarantees encounters with Tinkatink, but only if you are willing to invest and complete it before the event ends.

  • Remember that after the event, Tinkatink will move to the 10 km egg pool, where it will be harder to hatch, so focusing your efforts during the event is optimal.

By following these tips, you can maximize your odds of hatching Tinkatink and collecting enough Candy to evolve it during the event.
