Pokemon Legends Z-A: Omega Alpha Old-Fashioned Donut Recipe Guide – How

Guides

A mysterious treat from another dimension has trainers buzzing – the Omega Old-Fashioned Donut isn’t just a snack, it’s a symbol of power. Here’s how you can craft this rare delicacy in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension and uncover the boost it hides beneath its golden glaze.

Omega Old-Fashioned Donut recipe in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension

The Omega Old-Fashioned Donut in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension blends traditional baking with a touch of cosmic energy. Crafted from Omega Sugar, Stardust Flour, and a rare Mega Essence, this treat restores stamina and slightly boosts a Pokémon’s friendship level when served at camp. Mixing the ingredients over a gentle flame before cooling them under moonlight gives the donut its signature swirl and faint metallic sheen, making it a favorite among both trainers and Pokémon across the Mega Dimension.

To make the Omega Old-Fashioned Donut, you’ll need the following stats:

  • 260 points in sweet
  • 160 points in spicy
  • 160 points in sour
  • 20 points in bitter
  • 260 points in fresh

Again, you won’t be able to make this donut if you’re not at this part of the story, and you’ll need to tell Ansha specifically that you’re looking to make this omega donut when you talk to her.

You’ll be able to tell that the recipe will work before frying it, because small checkmarks will appear near each of the stats in the bottom right corner.

Just like the Bad Dreams Cruller recipe, there are a lot of different combinations you can do to successfully make this donut. We used the following berries:

  • 1 Hyper Rindo Berry
  • 2 Hyper Coba Berries
  • 1 Hyper Tanga Berry
  • 1 Hyper Kasib Berry
  • 2 Hyper Haban Berries
  • 1 Hyper Colbur Berry

There are a bunch of other combinations you can use, too, but we tried to use a variety of different berries, rather than many of a few berries. After all, there’s more special donuts to make after this, so you don’t want to completely deplete your stock of high-tier berries.

If you need to farm more berries, you’ll need to venture back into more Hyperspace pockets. We’ve noticed that higher-tier berries (towards the bottom of the berry list) that provide more stats do drop more from higher-starred portals, so make sure you’re spelunking in some of the harder areas, not just the one-star portals.

Where to find the Hyperspace berries for the Omega donut

Hyperspace berries for the Omega Old-Fashioned Donut drop exclusively from portals in Hyperspace Lumiose, accessed via distortions around Lumiose City after progressing through the Mega Dimension DLC’s main Hyperspace missions. Focus on 4-star (or higher) Hyperspace Wild Zones or Battle Zones, as lower-star ones rarely yield the rarer Hyper varieties like Rindo, Coba, Tanga, Roseli, Haban, Payapa, or Tamato needed for the recipe.

Best Farming Spots

Target dynamic zones that spawn around landmarks like South Boulevard near Rine Construction or other floating portals visible on the map-locations vary per player but refresh over time. Destroy floating Poké Balls (Bonus Balls) inside these zones for boosted drops, especially after Hyperspace Mission 9 unlocks Hyperspace Butter for better donut buffs.

Farming Tips

Equip donuts with Item Power Lv. 3 and Big Haul Power Lv. 2 before entering to multiply berry yields from Poké Balls. Use fast Pokémon like those with Big Haul Power sandwiches or abilities for quick clears; repeat runs via Pokémon Center benches to respawn high-star zones. Farm multiple berry types in one go to stockpile for the donut’s 260 Sweet/Spicy/Sour/Fresh and 20 Bitter targets.

Best Hyperspace Lumiose locations for berry drops

Hyperspace Lumiose portals spawn dynamically around Lumiose City landmarks, offering the best berry drops from their floating Poké Balls in higher-star zones. Prioritize 4- or 5-star large Hyperspace Wild Zones, as they yield rarer Hyper berries like Tanga, Roseli, and Payapa essential for the Omega donut.

Top Locations

South Boulevard near Rine Construction frequently hosts large 4-star zones with high Poké Ball density-head there first after resting at a Pokémon Center bench to refresh spawns. Other reliable spots include areas around central Lumiose portals or scanned special zones post-Side Mission 188, which unlock 5-star opportunities via Philippe at Rust Syndicate.

Maximizing Drops

Complete all zone tasks (e.g., destroy boulders, catch specific Pokémon) to spawn golden Bonus Balls for premium Hyper berry hauls; equip Item Power Lv. 3 donuts beforehand. Quick-save inside zones, reload if berry types don’t match your needs, and target Wild Zones over Battle Zones for pure farming efficiency.
