Mewgenics Blank Collar Guide

Guides

Blank Collars bind Mewgenics teams to unseen forces, turning every adventure into a high-stakes gamble.

How to get Blank Collars in Mewgenics

Blank Collars become available at Tracy’s P Mart once you have progressed her donations and shop upgrades enough for them to appear in her stock. They are not tied to her adventure stall, so check the store accessible from your house between runs and keep an eye on her rotating weekly inventory. Because each Blank Collar is consumable, buy one whenever you see it and store it until you are ready to duplicate a powerful collar for a specific build.

Blank Collars allow you to take multiple cats of the same class out on an adventure in Mewgenics. However, you must first unlock a Blank Collar through Tracy. You’ll unlock Tracy fairly early on in your playthrough, but she won’t have Blank Collars stocked immediately. To get Blank Collars in her shop, you’ll need to first donate one cat age five or older to Tracy to unlock the food storage upgrade, and then donate 10 more cats to unlock the first Blank Collar.

However, you won’t unlock the Blank Collar. Instead, you’ll unlock the rights to purchase the collar from her shop for 150 coins.

After you purchase the first, you’ll need to send Tracy40 more cats to unlock the second Blank Collar, and 40 more after that to unlock the third Blank Collar.

How to use Blank Collars in Mewgenics

Blank Collars can be equipped on your cats to customize their stats or grant unique effects once activated in Mewgenics. To use one, select the cat you want to modify, open the collar slot menu, and attach the Blank Collar from your inventory. Some Blank Collars must be charged or triggered through specific actions, such as combat events or special items, before their bonuses take effect. Experimenting with different collar combinations can help tailor your team’s abilities for tougher encounters and varied playstyles.

To use Blank Collars in Mewgenics, you’ll need to start an adventure. Choose your fated party of cats and place them in the box to view the Collars menu. Blank Collars in this menu won’t appear as a blank collar, but instead as a duplicate of one of the collars you already own. As seen in the image above, our Blank Collar took on the role of a Mage. However, the class that the Blank Collar takes on will be randomized every adventure. If you have multiple Blank Collars, you’ll have even more duplicates. This does mean that you’ll be able to take multiple cats of the same class, so, if you’d like half of your party to be made up of Tanks or Clerics, you’re free to do so!

How to unlock Tracy’s P Mart and donate cats

Tracy’s P Mart unlocks automatically from your home base in Mewgenics after a few hours of play, typically once you’ve completed initial missions in The Alley region and returned home. It appears on the Boon Country map as a distinct shop from Tracy’s regular adventure store.

Donation Process

Donate your first cat aged 5 or older directly to Tracy at the P Mart to unlock the food storage upgrade, which lets you buy an extra food bag. Then, donate 10 more cats aged 5+ to access her full inventory, including up to three Blank Collars (stock resets weekly in-game).

Key Tips

Select older, non-essential cats for donations since they’re permanent and can’t be recovered. This process also progresses house upgrades and other vendor features over time.

What are the best cats to donate to Tracy

In Mewgenics, donate older cats (aged 5+) that are no longer useful for adventures to Tracy at P Mart, such as retired former powerhouses with outdated stats, inbred cats with birth defects, or mutated ones with poor traits.

Selection Criteria

Prioritize cats that have been surpassed by newer, stronger generations from breeding, as they provide no ongoing value but meet the age requirement for donations. Avoid sacrificing high-potential young cats or current party staples. This unlocks food storage after the first donation and Blank Collars after 10 total.

Alternatives Considered

While Frank accepts any retired cats to expand house size, Tracy’s donations are more selective (age-based only) and directly enable her unique shop items like Blank Collars. Dr. Beanies takes inbred or defective cats instead.
