How to track the ’Great Windward Aloe Emergence’ event in Monster Hunter Wilds

To track the “Great Windward Aloe Emergence” event in Monster Hunter Wilds, head to the Windward Plains and open your map to access the Environment Overview section. Check the “Forecast” tab for the appearance of the Great Windward Aloe Emergence, which signals when the special event will occur. If it’s not listed, you can reset the forecast by resting in a tent with the environment set to “Plenty,” which may trigger the event after several attempts, though each reset costs Guild Points. Once the event is active, use the map’s Filter Icons to locate the “Giant Windward Succulent” harvesting spot marked by a green plant icon. Hurry to this location to gather the Great Windward Aloe before the event ends, as the succulent disappears shortly after.

You can find Great Windward Aloe in the Windward Plains regions in Monster Hunter Wilds. Sounds easy enough, but it only spawns during a special Emergence Event, which is like a temporary weather event in the game. The Emergence Event is called the “Great Windward Aloe Emergence” and you can track it by checking the forecast in the Environment Overview in your main map. You can see what it looks like in the map forecast below.

The first time we went to look for the Great Windward Aloe, our forecast did not contain the actual name for its emergence event. We solved this problem by waiting for the regular “Windward Aloe Upsurge” event and collecting the standard Windward Aloe. Afterward, the “Great Windward Aloe Emergence” event started appearing.

The emergence event might also not appear in your weather forecast because of the current weather. To reset the weather and get new Emergence Events, you can rest in a tent. Go to a tent, select the “Rest” option under the “BBQ Menu”, and set it so that the environment option says “Plenty.” After that, confirm you want to make your hunter sleep and your hunter will walk outside the tent and you will have a new forecast of emergence events.

You can do this until the “Great Windward Aloe Emergence” appears on your map. However, resting like this costs 300 Guild Points each time you reset the emergence events. Once the forecast lists the “Great Windward Aloe Emergence” event, wait for it (as predicted by your map) and you will be able to go get Great Windward Aloe.

Great Windward Aloe can only be found in the Windward Plains region of Monster Hunter Wilds, and its appearance is tied to a rare event called the Great Windward Aloe Emergence. The event’s timing can be checked in the Environment Overview’s Forecast tab, and if it’s not scheduled soon, you can repeatedly rest at a camp (at the cost of Guild Points) to reset environmental events until the Emergence appears. Once the event is live, head quickly to the marked location in the Windward Plains to harvest the Great Windward Aloe before the event ends, as it will not respawn until the next Emergence.

What makes the Great Windward Aloe so elusive in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Great Windward Aloe is elusive in Monster Hunter Wilds primarily because it only appears during a rare and temporary Emergence Event called the Great Windward Aloe Emergence, which occurs unpredictably in the Windward Plains region. This Emergence is tied to specific environmental conditions, such as the “Plenty” weather state, and cannot be triggered at will except by repeatedly resting in a tent to refresh the forecast, which costs Guild Points each time. Once the event starts, a single Giant Windward Succulent spawns on the map, marked for players to find, but the resource only remains available for a limited time and does not respawn quickly, making timing and preparation crucial to harvesting it.

Why are Great Windward Aloe emergences so unpredictable in Monster Hunter Wilds

Great Windward Aloe emergences in Monster Hunter Wilds are unpredictable because they occur randomly with each season change and depend on specific environmental conditions, particularly the “Plenty” weather state in the Windward Plains. Players cannot directly control when these emergences happen; instead, they must repeatedly rest in a tent to reset the environmental forecast, which costs Guild Points each time, in hopes of triggering the event. Even then, the event’s appearance is not guaranteed, making the timing and occurrence of the Great Windward Aloe Emergence highly variable and difficult to predict. Once triggered, the event lasts only for a limited time and features a single Giant Windward Succulent spawn, adding to the rarity and elusiveness of the resource.
