Alethonym Stasis breach grenade launcher

Alethonym is a unique Exotic Stasis grenade launcher introduced in Destiny 2: Revenant, notable for being only the second primary ammo breach grenade launcher in the game. Unlike typical Stasis weapons, Alethonym does not apply slowing or freezing effects but can shatter crystals. Its standout Exotic perk, Harvester Spike, allows players to generate Vestiges from kills, which can be collected to activate Vestigial Alchemy. This ability enables special reloads that create Special or Heavy ammo bricks for the player and their teammates, enhancing ammo sustainability in combat. Alethonym is obtainable through the Revenant Season Pass and offers a fresh playstyle focused on ammo generation and Stasis damage without direct crowd control effects.

Alethonym is a rare kind of Exotic, and is only the second ever primary ammo breach grenade launcher. It also deals Stasis damage, meaning it lives in the top slot, whereas the other primary grenade launcher, Fighting Lion, lives in the energy slot.

Alethonym’s primary Exotic perk is Harvester Spike, which causes kills with the weapon to generate Vestiges. More powerful enemies create more Vestiges. Absorbing a Vestige allows you to activate its secondary perk, Vestigial Alchemy. After grabbing enough Vestiges to charge 50% of the Vestigial Alchemy bar, you can special reload to cause the next shot to create a Special ammo brick for you and your allies. At 100% energy, you can create a Heavy brick instead.

Alethonym is the season pass Exotic, and is immediately available for those who own Revenant. For free-to-play players, you’ll need to progress the season pass to rank 40. A Catalyst will become available for Alethonym later in the episode.

Icebreaker sniper rifle

Icebreaker is a returning fan-favorite Exotic sniper rifle in Destiny 2, reintroduced with the Revenant expansion through the Vesper’s Host dungeon. This Solar damage weapon is renowned for its unique “No Backpack” perk, which allows it to regenerate ammo over time, eliminating the need to reload and making it ideal for prolonged fights. Its signature exotic perk causes enemies defeated with the rifle to explode, with precision kills or shattering frozen targets triggering an ignition effect, adding strategic crowd control. To obtain Icebreaker, players must complete the Vesper’s Host dungeon, with a chance to drop after defeating the final boss, or guaranteed if completed in Contest Mode. Its curated perks include Corkscrew Rifling, Accurized Rounds, and Composite Stock, enhancing range, stability, and handling, making Icebreaker a versatile and powerful choice for both PvE and PvP activities.

Ice Breaker, the beloved Exotic sniper rifle from the original Destiny, is available as a possible drop upon completing the Vesper’s Host dungeon.

It isn’t quite the infinite ammo weapon it was once was. Instead, when you get kills with weapons other than Icebreaker, you’ll regenerate Icebreaker ammo, up to 10 shots. Meanwhile, the “Ice Breaker” perk causes defeated enemies to explode.

Blastwave Striders Titan leg armor

Blastwave Striders are exotic leg armor for Titans introduced in Destiny 2’s Episode: Revenant, designed to enhance Stasis and explosive playstyles. Their unique perk grants resistance to your own explosives and builds a charge by defeating enemies. Once charged, sliding or dealing explosive self-damage triggers a rocket jump backward that releases deadly shrapnel projectiles, spawning Stasis crystals on impact and granting Frost Armor for added survivability. This makes Titans highly tanky while enabling powerful crowd control and damage output, especially when paired with Stasis or Prismatic subclasses. The armor is best suited for builds focused on explosive abilities and mobility, offering both offensive and defensive advantages in PvE and PvP activities.

Blastwave Striders are Stasis-focused Titan legs. Their main perk, Blastwave Striders, gives you resistance to explosion self-damage. Defeating enemies charges the armor. Once the armor is charged, you can either deal explosive damage to yourself or slide to cause an explosion which jumps you backward and scatters Stasis crystals around the arena. This explosion also grants you Frost Armor.

You can get this Exotic by increasing your reputation with Rahool.

Mask of Fealty Hunter helmet

The Mask of Fealty is an Exotic Hunter helmet in Destiny 2 that significantly enhances the Hunter’s Stasis abilities, particularly the Withering Blade melee attack. When equipped, hits and bounces from Withering Blade grant melee energy and spawn Stasis crystals, which can be shattered to create more Withering Blades, enabling powerful area-of-effect damage and crowd control. This helmet synergizes well with both PvE and PvP Hunter builds, especially those focusing on Stasis subclasses, making it a versatile and valuable piece for Hunters aiming to maximize survivability and offensive potential. It is obtained primarily through Master Rahool’s Focused Decoding system after increasing reputation, and was introduced in the Revenant episode, despite initial bugs that Bungie has been working to fix.

Mask of Fealty is a Stasis-focused Hunter helmet. Its main perk is Null Factor, which causes Withering Blade hits and bounces to create a small Stasis crystal and refund some melee energy. Using a Withering Blade to destroy a Stasis crystal or shatter a frozen target will create an eruption of Withering Blades.

You can get this Exotic by increasing your reputation with Rahool.

Rime-Coat Raiment Warlock chest armor

The Rime-Coat Raiment is a Warlock exotic chest armor introduced in Destiny 2’s Episode: Revenant, designed to enhance Stasis subclass builds. Its intrinsic perk, Bleak Domain, significantly boosts the Bleak Watcher turrets by increasing their range, surrounding their landing zone with Stasis crystals and a storm. Standing in this storm grants the wearer the Icicles buff, which generates icicles that activate when firing weapons, applying Slow to enemies hit. This exotic excels in both offensive and defensive playstyles, offering strong crowd control, survivability, and synergy with Stasis abilities, making it a powerful choice for PvE content and high-level activities like Grandmaster Nightfalls. It is obtained through Master Rahool’s Focused Decoding system by reaching reputation rank 16 and using Exotic Ciphers and Engrams.

Rime-Coat Raiment is a Stasis-focused Warlock chest piece. Its main perk is Bleak Domain, which enhances your Bleak Watcher turret with enhanced range. It also causes it to create Stasis crystals around it, as well as a Stasis storm. You gain Icicles while standing in the storm, which causes any shots fired from inside to slow targets.

How will the new Exotics in Revenant change my gameplay style

The new Exotics in Destiny 2: Revenant will significantly shift your gameplay style by enhancing crowd control, ammo management, and survivability through Stasis-based abilities and innovative weapon mechanics. For example, the new Stasis grenade launcher Alethonym uses primary ammo and can generate ammo bricks for your team, reducing reliance on ammo finders and enabling sustained firepower in late-game content. Exotic armor pieces for Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters are designed to boost Stasis powers, offering powerful slows, freezes, and area control that can chain with teammates’ abilities to create devastating combos and crowd-clear scenarios. Additionally, these Exotics encourage more tactical play, such as setting up stasis crystal minefields or combining turrets and rifts to slow enemies, making positioning and timing crucial. The introduction of new artifact perks and potion crafting further complements these changes, allowing you to customize your build for enhanced damage, defense, or utility, which can transform how you approach both PvE and PvP encounters. Overall, Revenant’s Exotics promote a more strategic, control-oriented playstyle that rewards coordination and adaptability.

How will the new Titan exotic armor influence my PvE and PvP strategies

The new Titan exotic armor in Destiny 2: Revenant will reshape your PvE and PvP strategies by enhancing your survivability, crowd control, and damage output, especially through Stasis abilities and melee combat. For PvE, exotics like Doom Fang Pauldrons boost your Sentinel shield into a powerful offensive tool, generating super energy on charged melees and increasing void weapon damage, enabling you to sustain pressure on bosses and champions. Cuirass of the Falling Star dramatically increases Thundercrash super impact and grants an overshield, making aggressive plays more viable and tanky. Synthoceps improve melee damage and super effectiveness when surrounded, promoting close-quarters combat and survivability. In PvP, One-Eyed Mask stands out by marking enemies who damage you, giving you a tactical edge in tracking and countering opponents, while also allowing flexible armor customization to adapt to shifting metas. Overall, these exotics encourage Titans to adopt a more aggressive, control-oriented playstyle that leverages Stasis powers and melee dominance to control engagements and outlast foes.
