Xur’s items drop at a power level similar to that of your character.

Graviton Lance

Graviton Lance is a Void pulse rifle known for its distinct two-burst firing pattern and high stability. Each shot fires a low-damage first burst followed by a powerful second one that hits harder and causes enemies to explode in Void energy. Its exotic perk makes it excellent for clearing groups of enemies or dealing consistent damage at range. With the right build, this weapon remains a standout choice for both PvE encounters and Crucible matches.

Graviton Lance‘s Exotic perk is Black Hole, which causes the gun to only fire two bullets: one with low damage and the other with high damage. The second perk, Cosmology, causes Graviton Lance kills to make the enemy explode and spawn void missiles that seek targets. This can cause a chain reaction of explosions, which can be extremely powerful in certain situations.

Graviton Lance has been one of Destiny 2‘s best and worst Exotics at different points. Currently, it’s not great, but you never know when the scales will tip again – plus, it’s a super unique weapon, no matter how powerful it is. If you don’t have Graviton Lance, grab it from Xur this week.

Khepri’s Sting

The Khepri’s Sting gauntlets return this week for Hunters, offering a powerful boost to smoke grenade playstyles. Their unique perk grants true sight while invisible and spreads poison damage to nearby enemies on melee hits. This exotic pairs well with Void builds that focus on stealth and area control, making it a strong pickup for PvP players who enjoy subtle yet deadly tactics.

Khepri’s Sting is a returning Exotic from the original Destiny, and houses a giant beetle on the Hunter’s left arm. Its Exotic perk is Touch of Venom. Punching an enemy with full melee energy instantly unleashes a smoke bomb. Smoke bombs deal increased damage and grant you Truesight while you’re inside.

This is an interesting Exotic with a neat effect, but it’s not particularly good at the moment. Pick it up if you have the shards and hope it will see a buff in the next few seasons.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Armamentarium

Armamentarium is an Exotic Titan chest armor that enhances grenade-focused builds. Its main perk, “And Another Thing,” grants an additional grenade charge, allowing for more frequent ability use in both PvE and PvP. The armor offers solid stats for resilience and discipline, making it a strong choice for aggressive or ability-driven playstyles, especially when paired with grenade-focused subclasses.

The Armamentarium is a pretty simple chest piece. Its Exotic perk is And Another Thing, which causes you to gain another grenade charge regardless of the subclass you’re using. This perk is great – or it would be if Striker Titans didn’t already have two grenades. The other Titan subclasses have far less powerful grenades and better Exotics in Hallowfire Heart and Mask of the Quiet One.

However, Armamentarium is still a great chest piece to grab if you don’t like those other Exotics or if you want to run the other Striker tree. If you like Titans and grenades, you should at least pick this one up.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 62 total stats.

Destiny 2 guide

Xur has returned to Destiny 2 with a fresh batch of exotic gear and legendary weapons available from December 16 to 20. Players can find him on his usual rotation across the worlds, offering items that cater to different playstyles and class setups. This week’s selection includes powerful gear that can enhance both PvE and PvP builds, making it worth checking his inventory before the reset. Don’t forget to spend your Legendary Shards wisely, as Xur’s stock changes each Friday.

Verity’s Brow

Verity’s Brow offers Warlocks a helmet that boosts grenade energy with weapon final blows, particularly from Void damage. Its stats include 2 Mobility, 12 Resilience, 18 Recovery, 9 Discipline, 9 Intellect, and 13 Strength for a total of 63 points. This piece suits grenade-focused builds in PvE activities.

This Verity’s Brow Warlock helmet is fairly mediocre. Its Exotic perk is The Fourth Magic, which causes your energy weapon kills to regenerate grenade energy for you and your nearby allies. This perk is fine and always useful. However, when compared to many of the other Warlock Exotics out there – Crown of Tempests, Geomag Stabilizers, Chromatic Fire, etc. – there is almost no situation where this helmet is worth using.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Exotic Cipher quest

The Exotic Cipher quest from Xur gives players another chance to earn a rare currency used for acquiring past Exotics from the Monument to Lost Light kiosk. Completing the weekly objective grants one Exotic Cipher, which can be redeemed for weapons or armor once available only in previous seasons. Be sure to check Xur’s current quest each weekend to make steady progress toward filling out your collection.

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the Tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

Best rolls for Graviton Lance this week

Graviton Lance is an exotic Void pulse rifle with fixed perks, so it lacks traditional “rolls” like random perks on legendaries. Its core strength comes from the Black Hole trait, which creates a void explosion on final blows with Cosmology rounds, excelling in add-clear for PvE.โ€‹โ€‹
The catalyst adds Vorpal Weapon (extra damage to bosses/minibosses) and Turnabout (defensive debuff resistance), making it even stronger this week when featured via Xur from Dec. 16-20, 2025.โ€‹

Top Perks and Traits

  • Intrinsic: Black Hole – Final blow with a Cosmology round detonates a void blast (high damage, no falloff), chain-reloading the next burst.โ€‹

  • Column 3: Cosmology – Generates tracking void orbs after chain kills; no damage falloff on half the magazine.โ€‹

  • Catalyst perks – Vorpal boosts Super damage; Turnabout aids survivability in endgame.โ€‹
These make it meta for GMs, raids, and strikes, especially with Void Surge mods.โ€‹

PvE God Roll Setup

Focus on stats: max Range (100) and Stability (60+) via a masterworked frame.โ€‹
Pair with Void 3.0 builds (e.g., Broodweaver or Gyrfalcon)-it shreds majors like few weapons can.โ€‹
This week’s Xur stock (29 shards) is ideal for reforging or catalyst insertion.โ€‹

PvP Notes

Recent buffs aligned its RPM to 324, hitting 0.87s TTK (5 crits/1 body) with scout-like range.โ€‹โ€‹
It shines mid-range but competes with legendaries like those with Kill Clip for faster follow-ups.โ€‹

Graviton Lance catalyst how to get

Graviton Lance’s catalyst drops randomly from Vanguard Ops strikes, Crucible matches, or Gambit playlists-no specific drop rate or guarantee, just RNG after kills or completions. Xur occasionally sells it directly in his inventory (check weekly), especially since recent updates allow catalyst sales alongside exotics like last week’s offer.โ€‹

Completion Requirements

Once obtained, insert it into Graviton Lance at any Gunsmith and complete two objectives: 500 kills with the weapon itself, plus 1,000 kills from the Cosmology perk’s void explosions (final blows spawn tracking void orbs that chain-kill).โ€‹โ€‹
Popular farms include Lake of Shadows or Mindbender’s Ambush strikes for quick clears, Shuro Chi checkpoint in Last Wish raid (tight enemy groups), or Altars of Sorrow on Moon for clustered adds.โ€‹โ€‹
Progress tracks separately in Collections > Patterns & Catalysts > Exotic Catalysts section.โ€‹

Catalyst Benefits

When inserted and completed, it grants Vorpal Weapon (boosts damage vs. bosses/minibosses, up to 30% in endgame) and Turnabout (increases airborne effectiveness and flinch resistance).โ€‹
This elevates Graviton Lance for PvE majors and GMs, pairing perfectly with Void builds amid recent buffs.โ€‹
