Gikaku Shrine Location Sky Mine Walkthrough in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

Hidden high above the surface of Hyrule, the Gikaku Shrine challenges players to master shifting rails, soaring platforms, and precise timing across the Sky Mine. This guide reveals how to reach the shrine and solve each mechanism for a flawless completion.

When you’re done, our shrine locations page or interactive Hyrule map can direct you toward something else to do.

Gikaku Shrine location

Gikaku Shrine is located on the Sky Mine island in the Eldin region, northeast of Death Mountain. You can reach it by using the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and gliding toward the island’s coordinates at approximately 4504, 2174, 1155. The area features metal structures, rail systems, and Zonai devices that help you travel between floating platforms. Be prepared with enough stamina or a Zonai Wing to reach the shrine safely from nearby islands.

The Gikaku Shrine is found within the Akkala Highlands Sky region, hovering above the Rist Peninsula and Malin Bay on the east of the continent. Specifically, it’s part of the Akkala Sea Sky and Sky Mines location. The exact coordinates are (4506, 2164, 1155).

Gikaku Shrine and Sky Mine Crystal walkthrough

Gikaku Shrine tests your skill with the Sky Mine device, where precise timing and placement are key to clearing the puzzles. Use the crystal to charge the launcher and aim for the target platforms above. Collect the Zonai parts scattered around to build useful mechanisms that help you reach higher areas. Once the puzzle is solved and the path opens, activate the terminal to complete the shrine and claim your reward.

Gikaku Shrine is a walk in the park… although the park is the Sky Mines in Akkala Sea Sky, and the walking is more avoiding robots who are trying to kill you while you paraglide to and fro.

1. Activate the Gikaku Shrine base, then head to the stone circle on the southwest spoke of the island to trigger the Sky Mine sigil and activate the island’s inner-circle catapult.

2. Catapult up to the next island, northeast of the shrine. Glide down to safety and take out the Construct with a bow and rocket arrows.

3. Jump aboard the hovering block where the Construct was perched, then use Ultrahand to attach rockets upward for a vertical boost. Activating the rockets should blast you up above all visible islands.

4. After the hover block has come to a standstill, face southwest and paraglide toward the small island containing a cluster of luminous rock. The shrine’s beam should lead you directly to the crystal, which is slightly obscured by all the glowing blue ore.

5. Grab the crystal and approach the north-northwest edge of the island – you should see the shrine below you. Chuck the green crystal off the ledge and glide down to the original island. Carry the crystal to the shrine.

Best route to reach the Sky Mine crystal from Natak Shrine

Natak Shrine sits in the Sokkala Sky Archipelago, while the Sky Mine crystal for Gikaku Shrine lies northeast in the Akkala Highlands Sky islands, requiring an efficient skyward hop.โ€‹

Starting from Natak

Head northeast from Natak Shrine’s position (around 3669, 1488, 1157), gliding toward elevated island clusters visible on your map above the swirling land circle near Malin Bay. Spot the Gikaku Shrine pedestal first at roughly 4505, 2167, 1155 to trigger the green beam guiding you upward to the crystal’s island.โ€‹

Optimal Route Steps

  • Launch from nearby Zonai springs or craft a rocket-powered glider using batteries and wings scavenged from Sokkala islands to gain height without stamina drain.โ€‹

  • Follow sequential sky islands northeast: first a mid-level platform, then higher luminous rock outcrops guarded by Constructs-clear foes with arrows before proceeding.โ€‹

  • Attach rockets to floating blocks on intermediate islands for vertical boosts, then paraglide precisely to the beam-lit crystal island; grab the green crystal and drop it toward the shrine below.โ€‹

This path skips surface travel, conserving energy over Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower launches.โ€‹

Fastest way to glide from Natak Shrine to the Sky Mine crystal

The fastest glide from Natak Shrine to the Sky Mine crystal covers roughly 800 units northeast across sky islands, minimizing stamina drain through altitude management and updrafts.โ€‹

Preparation at Natak

Fully upgrade stamina (at least two wheels) and equip food buffs for extra glide distance. Natak Shrine sits at coordinates 3669, 1488, 1157 in Sokkala Sky Archipelago; fast travel here post-completion.โ€‹

Glide Route Steps

  • Launch from Natak’s edge facing northeast toward Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower direction, spotting the Akkala Highlands Sky cluster (Gikaku pedestal at 4505, 2167, 1155).โ€‹

  • Catch sequential updrafts over mid-level islands: glide to a square platform, then a luminous rock outcrop-use fans or springs if available for minor boosts without landing.โ€‹

  • Activate Gikaku pedestal on arrival to reveal the green beam, then rocket-boost a hover block upward before final paraglide southwest to the crystal island (no pure glide reaches it directly).โ€‹

This pure-glide path takes under 2 minutes with practice, avoiding surface detours.โ€‹
