Sepapa Shrine Location Walkthrough in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Guide

Guides

Sepapa Shrine hides in plain sight beneath Central Hyrule, and its shifting platforms and precise Recall timing punish even small mistakes. This guide pinpoints the shrine’s exact location, shows how to reach the entrance safely, and walks you through every puzzle solution so you can claim the Light of Blessing and its hidden chest on your first attempt.

Sepapa Shrine location

The Sepapa Shrine sits on the southern edge of the Gerudo Desert, west of the Gerudo Highlands and south of the West Barrens at coordinates (-3800, -2440, 0039). Players reach it by heading southwest from Gerudo Town across the sands or paragliding down from Mount Rhoam. Its entrance hides behind a stone slab that requires Ultrahand to shift, marking the start of the inside-the-Mountain puzzle trials.

Sepapa Shrine is in the Hyrule Field region directly east of Hyrule Castle across the moat. The exact coordinates are (0219, 1082, 0028).

Sepapa Shrine walkthrough

Enter Sepapa Shrine on Sky Island south of Hyrule Castle. Activate the nearby Flux Construct III by striking its eye when it drops low, then defeat it to claim the Zonaite and Zonaite weapons. Use the bow to shoot the four hanging targets inside the shrine entrance, opening the path forward. Attach a rocket to a metal plate and fire an arrow at the switch to ride it upward. Glide to the next room and repeat: rocket-boost a plate across the gap, then shoot another switch. In the final chamber, fuse the large gear to a rocket-propelled plate, align it with the rotating platform, and time your shot to spin open the exit door.

Sepapa Shrine and its puzzles give you some practice with using Link’s Recall ability to rewind time.

1. When you first come into Sepapa Shrine, you’ll see a platform against the wall ahead of you moving in a counterclockwise pattern.

2. To move on, you’ll have to use the platform to reach the ledge above you, but the platform is moving the in the wrong direction. That’s where Recall comes in.

3. Hit the platform with your Recall ability to rewind it and make it move clockwise.

4. Hop on and ride it up to the ledge above you.

5. In the next room, there’s a locked gate ahead of you with a couple of unlit fire pillars on either side (and a torch). [Full disclosure: there were lengthy discussions about what to call these short pillars that hold a flame on top. We settled on fire pillars, so that’s what we’ll use here.]

6. Grab the torch if you need it, and turn to the right. A wooden raft will float out from under you heading to the far side. Hop on and ride it past the lit fire pillars in the water. Light your torch as you pass.

7. At the far side, light the vines on the wall. They’ll burn and destroy a wooden platform above you, dropping a chest with a strong Construct bow inside.

8. Turn back the way you came, and use Recall on a raft to send it back the other way.

9. Relight your torch as you pass, and then light both fire pillars by the gate.

10. Through the gate, take a right and go to the top of the ramp.

11. Pick up the ball, and carry it down to the first bowl. Place ball in the bowl and you’ll see a gate open over on the left side.

12. Pick up the ball again and take it down to the next bowl to open another gate.

13. Head over to the left side, and go up the stairs.

How to get Strong Construct Bow from Sepapa Shrine chest

To get the Strong Construct Bow in Sepapa Shrine, head to the main water chamber after the initial moving platform puzzle.

Chest Location

The chest is hidden high on the far wall, behind vines on a wooden platform across the water channel.

Step-by-Step Access

Grab the nearby torch and wait for a wooden raft to float toward you from the right. Jump on the raft, light the torch on the flaming geysers in the water as you pass, then hop off at the opposite ledge. Use the lit torch to burn the vines; this collapses the wooden shelf, dropping the chest with the Strong Construct Bow (base attack power 11).

What are the stats and best uses for Strong Construct Bow

The Strong Construct Bow is a reliable early-game bow with solid stats for ranged combat. It’s particularly valued for its fireproof nature, making it ideal in hot environments.

Key Stats

  • Base Attack: 11 (can reach 14-16 at Attack Up Level 1, 17-21 at Level 2 via fusions/upgrades).

  • Durability: 26 uses before breaking.

  • Range: 20 (average among bows, with arrow speed of 4.5 and single-arrow shots).

  • Special Trait: Fireproof; won’t burn in lava, flames, or scorching areas like Death Mountain.

Best Uses

Fuse it with materials like dragon parts (e.g., Dinraal’s Claw for fire damage), elemental fruits, or ore (e.g., Ruby for AOE fire) to boost power and add effects like explosions or freezing. Great for sniping enemies from afar, hunting wildlife, or Depths exploration where fire hazards abound; upgrade at Rock Octoroks for better performance.
