A shivering robot needs warmth-and the Poncho is the key. Here’s how to find this cozy piece of clothing in Stray and the one place it truly makes a difference.
Note: You can do this quest in chapter four, but you won’t need to complete it until the end of chapter six.
How to get the Super Spirit Detergent
From the Guardian, turn around and head down the main street until you reach the Super Spirit Laundry with the red neon sign on the left. Climb up to the nearby rooftops and approach the two robots tossing paint cans back and forth above the laundromat. Time a meow just as one robot is about to throw a can so it slips and drops paint in front of the shop. This draws the owner outside to clean, leaving the door open so you can slip inside and grab the Super Spirit Detergent from the table or window area near the entrance.
From the Guardian robot, do a 180, take a right, and climb up to the rooftops. You should see some robots chucking paint cans from one side of the roof to the other. Climb over to them.
The robot on the lower roof (the one throwing the paint cans) is the target here. Turns out they’re very easily startled by loud noises. Talk to them and the game will prompt you to meow. Hit the meow button just before the robot throws and it’ll drop a paint can onto the street. This will summon the grumpy robot that runs the laundromat. Once the paint can falls, they’ll unlock their door and start clearing their stoop.
Make your way back down to the street and walk through the laundromat’s front door. Immediately to your left you’ll see two tables pushed together. Jump up and grab the Super Spirit Detergent bottle next to the Super Spirit box.
How to get the Electric Cable
To get the Electric Cable, head to the Barterman Azooz near the Guardian in the Slums and speak with him to see his wares, then note that he will trade the Electric Cable only for a bottle of Super Spirit Detergent. If you do not already have the detergent, go to the Super Spirit laundry by following the streets and signs around the Guardian, reach the rooftop where two robots are tossing paint cans, and meow as one is about to throw to make him drop a can and spill paint in front of the shop. This mess forces the laundromat owner to step outside to clean, giving you a chance to slip inside, turn left, jump onto the nearby table, and pick up the Super Spirit Detergent jug. Once it is in your inventory, return to Azooz and trade the detergent for the Electric Cable, which B12 will store in its inventory for later use with Grandma.
Take your new bottle of detergent over to Azooz, the robot who runs the shop to the right of the Guardian. Select the Electric Cable off the ground and trade your Super Spirit Detergent for it.
How to get the Poncho
To get the Poncho, you must first find the Super Spirit Detergent near the laundromat. Use it to trade for an Electric Cable from the barterer at the marketplace. Then take the cable to Grandma, the robot who knits clothes, and she’ll craft the Poncho for you. This item is later needed to warm up the cold robot named Elliot so he can help you advance in the story.
With your Electric Cable stowed in B12’s backpack, head back to the Guardian and look for a signpost. Follow the signs to Grandma’s clothing store. Trade her the Electric Cable and she’ll make you a poncho. Sadly, this is not a cat-sized poncho, but a robot-sized one. Luckily, there’s a nearby robot who needs it for warmth.
What to do with the Poncho
After obtaining the Poncho, take it to Elliot, the robot located in Elliot’s Programming near the bar in the Slums. He often feels cold, and giving him the Poncho helps him warm up so he can resume his coding work. This exchange is necessary to advance certain story tasks, as Elliot’s assistance becomes useful later in your exploration of the city.
Find another signpost and follow it to Elliot’s repair shop. You’ll know you’ve found it when you come across a red door covered in posters and writing. Scratch on the door and a robot will answer. Slide through the open door and go up the stairs. Talk to Elliot and offer him the Poncho. He’ll instantly drape himself in the gift and offer his repair services should you require them.
What other items are needed to repair the Broken Tracker
To get Elliot to repair the Broken Tracker, you only need the same trade-chain items you already used for the Poncho; there are no extra hidden components beyond these.
The required items are:

Super Spirit Detergent – taken from inside Super Spirit Laundry after making the paint can fall and opening the door.

Electric Cable – traded from Azooz the merchant in the marketplace in exchange for the Super Spirit Detergent.

Poncho (blanket) – knitted by Grandma when you give her the Electric Cable.
Once you have the Poncho, give it to Elliot in Elliot Programming so he stops shivering, then show him the Broken Tracker and he repairs it; no additional items are needed beyond this sequence.
How to get Super Spirit Detergent from Super Spirit Laundry
To get Super Spirit Detergent, you need to unlock the Super Spirit Laundry, then grab the bottle inside.
Steps to enter Super Spirit Laundry

Find the laundromat

In the Slums, look for the building with the bright red “Super Spirit Laundry” neon sign on the ground level streets.

Its front door is locked and the owner, Kosma, is inside.

Reach the rooftop with the paint robots

Use nearby AC units, pipes, and ledges around the corner from the entrance to climb up to the roof above the laundromat.

You’ll see two robots (Vapora and Mito) tossing paint buckets across the gap between rooftops.

Make the robot drop a paint bucket

Approach one of the paint-throwing robots and wait until it’s about to throw.

When the prompt appears, meow at the right timing so the robot fumbles and drops a paint bucket into the street below.

Use the open door

Go back down to street level; Kosma will now be outside angrily cleaning the spilled paint, leaving the laundry door open.

Walk past Kosma into Super Spirit Laundry.

Where exactly the detergent is

Once inside, look immediately to the left side of the room, under or by the front window.

Jump onto the table/shelf there and pick up the Super Spirit Detergent bottle.
You can now take this detergent to Azooz, the merchant near the Guardian, and trade it for Electric Cable.
