Voe and You Class Solutions and Tutorials for Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Guides

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the “Voe and You” classroom hides more than just lessons about Gerudo customs-it’s a clever puzzle laced with cultural quirks, secret mechanics, and rewards that reveal how deeply traditions shape gameplay in the desert city of Gerudo Town.

This notably is the use for the flower garland in Kakariko Village, but again, there’s no actual tangible reward (that we know of) for doing this bit other than getting to chuckle at some funny dialog.

At night in the Gerudo Shelter, Ashai teaches three Gerudo women how to talk to men. Each one has a problem when facing you, so you’ll need to help them out by having certain items on hand or equipped to allow them to pass the lesson. We list out the solutions below.

Nali’s Voe and You solution

Nali’s “Voe and You” task challenges players to help a Gerudo student learn about voe customs from outside the desert. Speak with her in the Gerudo Classroom and share knowledge about men’s attire and behavior based on your experiences. Bring examples such as armor or stories from different regions to complete her lesson. Once the discussion wraps up, you’ll receive a small reward and new dialogue options that deepen your understanding of Gerudo culture.

Nali is the first Gerudo and she can’t look a voe in the eye. So equip a mask or face-covering head equip to get her over her nerves. You can use Majora’s Mask, but we used the silly Ravio’s Hood. We’re not sure which other specific head coverings work, but you are probably fine as long as Link’s face is covered.

Note that things like Sheik’s Mask, Bokoblin Mask, and the Fierce Diety Mask do not work (despite the latter actually being a literal mask). You will need to cover Link’s face with something like the Korok Mask.

Pritana’s Voe and You solution

Pritana’s “Voe and You” classroom puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom centers on finding the correct outfit that fits the Gerudo standards. To solve it, Link must wear the complete Voe armor set, showing respect for the Gerudo culture’s rules about male attire. Once properly dressed, speaking with Pritana triggers her approval and completes the classroom challenge, earning Link both recognition and a rewarding interaction that ties into the game’s cultural themes.

Pritana needs a drink before she can talk to a man. Buy a Noble Pursuit from the canteen for 20 rupees and you’ll be able to hand it to her.

If you’ve cleared “Riju of Gerudo Town,” the canteen will be outside in the northern part of town, marked by a martini glass on your map. If you haven’t, the canteen will be inside the shelter, marked with a bottle icon on a piece of cloth.

Deltan’s Voe and You solution

Deltan’s “Voe and You” lesson takes place in Gerudo Town, where players help the character Deltan teach students about voe-men-and their customs beyond the desert. The task involves speaking with the students, gathering context clues, and correctly answering their questions to complete the class. It’s a light puzzle that blends humor and cultural detail, adding personality to Gerudo Town and rewarding attentiveness with a brief, charming interaction rather than combat or exploration.

Deltan wants an accessory from a town in Necluda – specifically the ring flower garland from Kakariko Village. Head over, buy the garland from the little girl for 5 rupees, and Fuse it to one of your weapons or shields. Once you have it Fused, start the lesson and Deltan will notice the flowers and pass the course.

How to enter the daytime Voe and You class as a male

Daytime Class Access
Males cannot openly enter the daytime “Voe and You” class in Gerudo Town’s Underground Shelter, as Ashai detects Link and calls guards after warnings. To bypass this, disguise Link by equipping the full Desert Voe armor set: Desert Voe Headband (from Kara Kara Bazaar), Spaulder, and Trousers (from Gerudo Secret Club).

Blending In
Position Link in the empty spot among the voe dummies on the far left side of the room, directly across from students like Pearle or Pritana. Wait for class to start around 11 AM (after students arrive from 9-10:30 AM), and Link blends in seamlessly to eavesdrop without detection.

Rewards and Tips
Eavesdropping unlocks secret dialogue with quest hints, such as locating Stella collectibles or accessing the jail. Remove weapons or shields if needed, but the full set ensures no issues; partial armor risks detection.

What Gerudo outfit pieces are required to blend in

Required Outfit for Blending In
To blend in as a male during the daytime “Voe and You” class in Gerudo Town’s Underground Shelter, equip the full Desert Voe armor set on Link. This male Gerudo outfit lets him pose undetected among the voe dummies.

Armor Pieces

  • Desert Voe Headband: Purchase from a Gerudo at Kara Kara Bazaar for 150 rupees.

  • Desert Voe Spaulder: Buy from the Gerudo Secret Club in Gerudo Town (requires Ascend ability to access) for 350 rupees.

  • Desert Voe Trousers: Also from the Gerudo Secret Club for 450 rupees.
All three pieces are essential; partial sets risk detection by Ashai.

Usage Tips
Wear the complete set without weapons or shields, then stand in the leftmost dummy spot facing students like Pearle. Class starts around 11 AM in-game time for secret eavesdropping dialogue.
