Tired of the daily grind of watering your crops in Fields of Mistria? Unlocking the magical Water Sprite Statue-your game’s version of sprinklers-can revolutionize your farm life by automatically irrigating a wide area of crops. But be warned: obtaining this powerful helper requires delving deep into the mines, mastering the Dragon’s Breath ability, and completing a challenging questline that pushes you into the heart of the game’s endgame content. Ready to transform your farm? Here’s how to get your hands on these enchanting sprinklers and start farming smarter, not harder.
Just like sprinklers in a certain other pixel farm games, water sprite statues water tiles in a two-tile radius, so you’ll want to put yours in the center of a five-by-five square for maximum coverage.
Below, we explain how to unlock “sprinklers” in Fields of Mistria (water sprite statues) and how to make more of them.
How to unlock sprinklers in Fields of Mistria
To unlock sprinklers in Fields of Mistria, known as Water Sprite Statues, you need to reach level 60 in the mines and interact with an ancient tablet to start the “Breaking the Fire Seal” questline. This quest involves speaking with NPCs like Juniper and Balor, gathering specific items, and unlocking the Dragon’s Breath ability. Using Dragon’s Breath, you can access a blocked cave near the beach east of the lighthouse, where you will find the Water Sprite Statue and its crafting recipe inside a golden chest. Afterward, you can craft additional statues once you unlock the Stone Refinery at town Renown level 55, enabling you to automate watering crops within a two-tile radius, significantly easing farm management.
In order to unlock the recipe for the water sprite statue, you’ll need to get to level 60 of the mines and interact with the tablet to start the “Breaking the Fire Seal” questline. From here, you’ll be guided with what to do: talk to Juniper, wait on Balor, give some items to him, and then present said items to the altar. Some cutscenes will play out, and you’ll be gifted a new ability: Dragon’s Breath. (You will also unlock Caldarus as a romance candidate by completing this quest.)
You’re going to want to use the Dragon’s Breath ability on a secret cave by the beach. To get there, jump off the cliff to the east and you should see the entrance in the northeast:
Use the Dragon’s Breath ability and make sure to aim upwards after using it, so you’re blasting those rocks away with the fire. After this, the cave will open, allowing you to claim a water sprite statue and the recipe to make more from the chest.
How to make more water sprite statues in Fields of Mistria
To make more Water Sprite Statues in Fields of Mistria, you first need to unlock the crafting recipe by completing the “Breaking the Fire Seal” quest, which requires reaching level 60 in the mines and obtaining the Dragon’s Breath spell. Use this spell to unlock the blocked cave near the beach east of the lighthouse, where you will find the recipe and an initial Water Sprite Statue. To craft additional statues, you must unlock the Stone Refinery by reaching town renown level 55, which allows you to produce refined stone and essence stones. Each Water Sprite Statue requires 10 refined stone, 50 essence, and 3 special items such as Ash Mushrooms or Purple Mushrooms. Once crafted, place the statue at the center of a 5×5 crop area and add an essence stone to automatically water your crops daily within a two-tile radius.
While you’ll get one for free, to make more, you’ll need a bit more progression in the game in order to unlock the Stone Refinery:
- Reach level 55 renown.
- Complete the “Repair the Inn” story quest.
After completing the above, you should get a letter from Adeline talking about meeting in front of the mines to make a Stone Refinery. After doing so, you’ll be able to make cut stone and essence stones at the refinery, which you’ll need to make and power the water sprite stuates.
You’ll need to place essence stones on the statues in order to power them. The bigger the essence stone, the longer it’ll be powered up, so we recommend making the biggest ones for the sake of convenience. You can also find essence stones in treasure chests in the mines, if you’re lucky.
With your cut stone and essence stones in hand, head back to your crafting bench to make your water sprite statues using the following materials:
- 10 cut stones
- 50 essence
- 3 ash mushrooms/3 purple mushrooms/3 temple flowers/3 sea grapes/3 thorn vines

What role does the Fire Seal play in unlocking the water sprite statues
The Fire Seal plays a crucial role in unlocking the Water Sprite Statues in Fields of Mistria. To obtain the Water Sprite Statue and the ability to craft sprinklers, players must first reach floor 60 in the Mines and break through the Fire Seal. This involves collecting specific items-Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, Rockroot, and a Sealing Scroll obtained through a quest involving Balor-and placing them on pedestals at the Fire Seal altar.
Breaking the Fire Seal triggers a series of events culminating in meeting Caldarus, who grants the Dragon’s Breath spell. This spell is essential because it allows players to burn through a blocked door in a hidden beach cave east of the lighthouse. Inside this cave, players find the Water Sprite Statue, its crafting recipe, and an Essence Stone needed to power it.
In summary, the Fire Seal acts as a gatekeeper: only by breaking it and acquiring Dragon’s Breath can players access the hidden cave where the Water Sprite Statue is found, unlocking the sprinkler functionality for automated crop watering.
