This week’s raid and dungeon rotation unlocks legendary battles and exclusive Pinnacle rewards, offering Guardians on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox a fresh chance to farm iconic encounters and gear. Whether you’re reliving classics like Crota’s End or testing your skills in the latest dungeons, here’s everything you need to know to conquer the week’s featured activities and maximize your loot haul. Stay sharp-weekly resets bring new opportunities every Tuesday!
As of the Episode: Revenant update in October 2024, Bungie showcases which activity is featured (via an icon on the map), and there are now two featured raids and dungeons per week. But Destiny 2 still doesn’t tell you in-game what raids and dungeons are planned for future weeks.
In this Destiny 2 rotation guide, we’ll tell you why featured raids and dungeons matter, and give you a calendar showing which endgame activity is featured this week. These activities always cycle in and out on Tuesdays at the weekly reset for Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 raid rotation this week
This week in Destiny 2, the raid rotation features “King’s Fall” and “Garden of Salvation,” allowing players to farm these raids for Pinnacle rewards and exclusive loot. The weekly reset occurs every Tuesday at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT, refreshing the raid rotation to keep the endgame experience fresh and rewarding. This rotation is part of a set schedule cycling through classic raids such as “Vow of the Disciple,” “Last Wish,” “Root of Nightmares,” and others, giving Guardians the opportunity to revisit and master these challenging activities regularly.

There are two featured raids per week, and they cycle in a staggered order. The newest raid, Salvation’s Edge, does not feature in the rotation and won’t appear as a featured raid until a new raid comes out.

A pattern has been locked in for the raid rotation in Heresy. Note that this pattern has a potential to shift if Bungie manually changes out any raids.
Destiny 2 dungeon rotation this week
This week in Destiny 2, the dungeon rotation features the “Spire of the Watcher” and “Pit of Heresy” dungeons, allowing players to farm these classic activities and earn Pinnacle rewards. The weekly reset occurs every Tuesday at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT, when the dungeon rotation updates to offer fresh challenges. This rotation is part of Bungie’s system to keep older dungeons accessible and rewarding, with two dungeons featured each week during the current Episode Heresy cycle. Players can expect to revisit these dungeons and collect exclusive loot as they cycle through the rotation every Tuesday.

There are two featured dungeons each week, and they cycle in a repeated order. The newest dungeon, Sundered Doctrine, does not feature in the rotation and won’t appear as a featured dungeon until a new dungeon comes out.

A pattern has not yet been set in Heresy. We’re keeping featured dungeons from previous weeks listed for posterity.
What does it mean for a raid and dungeon to be featured?
When a raid or dungeon is featured in Destiny 2, it means that the activity is part of the weekly rotation and becomes fully farmable. Players can complete the encounters multiple times throughout the week, earning loot on each run rather than just once per week as in normal raids or dungeons. Additionally, completing the final encounter in a featured raid or dungeon rewards a Pinnacle Power piece of gear, which helps players increase their Power level. This rotation encourages players to revisit older content for valuable rewards and keeps the endgame experience fresh and engaging. However, the newest raid and dungeon added to the game are never featured until a newer activity is released.

Destiny 2 has a series of activity types that rotate each week, but the most consequential ones are the endgame activities: raids and dungeons. If you’re new to Destiny, raids are six-player activities that are widely considered to be the most difficult content in the game. Dungeons are like smaller, simpler raids and only require three Guardians to complete (and, with practice, and can even be completed solo).
When a raid or dungeon is featured, you’ll get a Pinnacle Power piece of loot when you complete the activity, and you can complete encounters over and over again for a chance at loot. This means that when, for example, the Last Wish raid is featured, you can dive in and complete each encounter multiple times to unlock a weapon pattern you’ve been dying to get. This is a big shift from normal raids, which will typically only give you loot once per week.
The featured raids and dungeons will rotate out and a new one will rotate in each Tuesday. Finally, it’s worth noting that the most recent raid and dungeon added to the game can never be featured, although they offer pinnacle gear every single week.
Which old Destiny 2 raids and dungeons are returning this week for farming
This week in Destiny 2, the old raids returning for farming include Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, Deep Stone Crypt, Vault of Glass, Vow of the Disciple, King’s Fall, and Root of Nightmares. For dungeons, the featured ones are Shattered Throne, Pit of Heresy, Prophecy, Grasp of Avarice, Duality, and Spire of the Watcher. These legacy activities are part of the weekly rotation system that allows players to farm legendary gear without lockouts and earn Pinnacle rewards by completing the final encounter.
Are the Vault of Glass and Garden of Salvation returning this week for farming
This week in Destiny 2, the Vault of Glass and Garden of Salvation raids are indeed returning for farming. According to the latest rotation schedule, Vault of Glass is featured this week alongside Crota’s End, while Garden of Salvation is scheduled for the following week with King’s Fall. This means players can farm Vault of Glass now for legendary gear and Pinnacle rewards, and prepare for Garden of Salvation’s return next week. Both raids offer opportunities to repeatedly run encounters without lockouts, maximizing loot drops and weapon crafting potential.
