Power surges through the Dry Steppes for those who know where to seek it. Each Altar of Lilith hides a permanent boost to your stats, and finding them all can tip the balance in your favor as you carve your path through Sanctuary’s harsh sands.
In this guide, we’ll show you where you can find all 33 Altars of Lilith in the Dry Steppes, the arid region that you’ll first adventure to during Act III of Diablo 4‘s campaign.
You can find Altars of Lilith in each of the game’s five regions, and each statue will give you a permanent benefit. Most statues will boost one of your core stats (Dexterity, Strength, Willpower, or Intelligence), while others might increase the amount of Murmuring Obols you can carry. The best statues give you a bonus Paragon Point. These bonuses are account-wide, so all of your characters benefit when you grab an altar.
Following the rollout of Diablo 4‘s seasonal cadence, Altars of Lilith have become even more useful. When you collect an Altar of Lilith on your current character, you’ll also be collecting it for all characters on your account. This means that every new character you make – seasonal or otherwise – will already have the altars unlocked for them, as well as the stat bonuses and Renown that comes with them.
Each Altar of Lilith gives you 10 Renown, which is a big chunk of the total Renown in each region. Collecting these altars as early as possible will allow you to start with multiple bonus skill points and potion charges each season.

Below, in our detailed walkthrough, you’ll find the individual locations for every Altar of Lilith in the Dry Steppes, including information on what bonuses they’ll net your characters and detailed screenshots of where they’re hiding.
Northern Dry Steppes, #1-11
The Northern Dry Steppes hold eleven Altars of Lilith scattered across rocky plateaus and stretches of barren desert. Many of these stand near ruins and cliffside paths that challenge travelers to explore hidden corners of the region. Collecting them rewards permanent attribute boosts and Renown, helping characters grow stronger while uncovering the secrets left behind by Lilith’s followers. Keep an eye on narrow trails and isolated outposts to find every altar in this part of the Dry Steppes.
Our first section will cover the northern part of the Dry Steppes, where we’ll show you how to collect the first 11 Altars of Lilith in this region.
#1: Kotama Grasslands – Wayward Plains
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Dexterity.
West of the Farobru Waypoint, you’ll find a cave-like offshoot in a darker part of the map. Walk inside and hang right. You’ll find this Altar of Lilith tucked against the wall.
#2: Kotama Grasslands – The Wretched Strand
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
Southwest of Ked Bardu, you’ll find this Altar of Lilith wedged between some rocks on the underside of a short cliff.
#3: Kotama Grasslands – Wayward Plains
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Strength.
Southeast of Ked Bardu, you’ll come across a small cave. In the back of the cave, pushed against the wall, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith.
#4: Kotama Grasslands – Wayward Plains
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
East of Ked Bardu, you’ll find a small alcove along the cliff face. Walk inside and you’ll find the Altar of Lilith hiding behind a pillar that blocks the camera.
#5: Tusmaa Rift – Abahru Canyon
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
East of Ked Bardu (and south of the alcove where you’ll find altar #4), you’ll come across a network of tunnels that’s loaded with side quests. Near the middle, one path wraps in on itself. You’ll find an Altar of Lilith in the corner, next to the rock face.
#6: Tusmaa Rift – Rift of a Thousand Eyes
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
On the way to the Dark Ravine dungeon (east of where it’s placed on the map), climb up the wall to reach a landing made of rocks. Walk south to find this Altar of Lilith.
#7: Khargai Crags – The Crown of Fiends
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
North of the Mournfield dungeon, you’ll find several climbable areas leading to one long path along a cliff. At the end of the path you’ll find this Altar of Lilith.
#8: Khargai Crags – Hapless Frontier
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Dexterity.
Southeast of Farobru, you’ll find a cave network that leads to another cave offshoot. At the end of this side path, you’ll find an altar with its back to the camera.
#9: Chambatar Ridge – Forsaken Ascent
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
Northeast of the Fate’s Retreat Waypoint, you’ll find a network of caves. Keep to the right and you’ll eventually come across a small alcove next to a pool of lava. The Altar of Lilith is sitting on the edge of the cliff.
#10: Chambatar Ridge – Path of Stray Souls
This altar will give all of your characters an extra Paragon Point.
South of Fate’s Retreat, to the east of the large circular arena on the map, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith hidden by some rocks.

Directly east from Fate’s Retreat, you’ll find an altar hidden in a small alcove, sitting on the edge of a semi-hardened river of lava.
Southern Dry Steppes, #12-33
The Southern Dry Steppes hold Altars #12-33 scattered across rugged canyons and sunbaked plains. These statues hide among rocky outcrops, near forsaken camps, and beside worn paths leading toward the outer wastes. Each altar grants a permanent stat bonus to all characters, rewarding thorough exploration of this harsh desert region. Keep an eye on cliff edges and ruins-many of these altars blend well with the dusty terrain and can be missed without careful observation.
Our next section will cover the southern half of the Dry Steppes, and round out the rest of the Altars of Lilith.
#12: The Accursed Wastes – The Bleak Expanse
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
Southeast of the Hidden Overlook Waypoint and just west of the massive circular arena, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith pushed up between two cliff faces.
#13: The Accursed Wastes – Ruins of Qara-Yisu
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
In the Ruins of Qara-Yisu Stronghold, travel southeast of where the Waypoint is to find an Altar of Lilith sitting amongst the carved stone.
#14: The Accursed Wastes – The Bleak Expanse
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
North of the Shifting City dungeon, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith on the west side of a circular area.
#15: The Accursed Wastes – The Trail of Bones
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Strength.
Directly south of the Hidden Overlook Waypoint, you’ll find an alcove. Sandwiched between the rocks, in plain sight, is another altar.
#16: Untamed Scarps – Bloodsoaked Ingress
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
West of the Buried Halls dungeon, you’ll find some bodies tied to posts, some torches, and a tent. There’s also an Altar of Lilith next to the mountain, with its back to the camera.
#17: Jakha Basin – Bloodsoaked Ingress
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Dexterity.
West of the Hidden Overlook Waypoint, just before you cross over the long bridge, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith hidden in a small wooden shack.
#18: Khargai Crags – Bluffs of Olzei
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Strength.
Southeast of The Onyx Watchtower, you’ll find some platforming sections clustered together. Move across all the traversal spaces and you’ll eventually find an Altar of Lilith hidden behind a tree.
#19: The Onyx Watchtower – The Onyx Watchtower
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
In the southern part of The Onyx Watchtower Stronghold, look for a cave that you can duck into. On the other side, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith just standing there.
#20: Khargai Crags – Bastard’s Pass
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
West of The Onyx Watchtower, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith sitting between a tree and the edge of a cliff.
#21: Untamed Scarps – Crane Tribe Hutmoot
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Dexterity.
West of the Bloodsoaked Crag dungeon, you’ll find a traversable gap near the water. Jump across and you’ll find another altar.
#22: Untamed Scarps – Galtmaa Bushland
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Strength.
Directly north of the Sealed Archives dungeon, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith hiding behind a tree.
#23: Untamed Scarps – Desolation’s Reach
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
South of the Sealed Archives dungeon, you’ll find a field with a large rock on the left side. The Altar of Lilith is next to this rock, and just barely visible to the player camera.
#24: Untamed Scarps – Temple of Rot: Temple Grounds
This altar will give all of your characters a bonus Paragon Point.
In the Temple of Rot Stronghold, go north to the square corridor. You’ll find an Altar of Lilith pressed into the wall near some broken pillars.
#25: Untamed Scarps – Galtmaa Bushlands
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
South of the Temple of Rot, you’ll find a small, destroyed building with only three walls. The Altar of Lilith is hiding inside.
#26: Fields of Hatred – Akhai Prairie
This altar will give all of your characters a bonus Paragon Point.
In the Fields of Hatred, just south of Alzuuda, you’ll find a cave. Before you reach the ramp that will take you further below, you’ll see the Altar of Lilith standing on the edge of the cliff.
#27: The Scarred Coast – Tamuur Hinterland
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Intelligence.
West of the Alzuuda Waypoint, walk along the cliff and you’ll find an Altar of Lilith tucked in a corner overlooking the water.
#28: The Scarred Coast – The Ashen Tread
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Willpower.
North of the Komdor Temple dungeon, you’ll find a small piece of beach that juts off into an alcove. You’ll find an Altar of Lilith hiding inside.
#29: The Scarred Coast – Undying Marches
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Strength.
East of the Carrion Fields dungeon, you’ll find a small mountain that you can climb up to. The Altar of Lilith is sitting next to what appears to be a turned-over cart.
#30: The Scarred Coast – Ragged Shore
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Dexterity.
North of the Carrion Fields dungeon and further up the shore, you’ll find a small cave next to the water, which houses an Altar of Lilith.
#31: Dindai Flats – The Brackish Pans
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Dexterity.
West of the Forgotten Depths dungeon, you’ll find a broken bridge. Under it is an Altar of Lilith.
#32: Dindai Flats – The Brackish Pans
This altar will give all of your characters a bonus Paragon Point.
South of the Forgotten Depths dungeon, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith taking refuge on a small bit of craggy shore.
#33: Dindai Flats – Adherent’s Rise
This altar will give all of your characters 2 Strength.
East of the Forgotten Depths dungeon, on a winding path that leads up to a cliff, you’ll find an Altar of Lilith sitting on the edge.
Best route to collect all Dry Steppes altars fast
The Dry Steppes features 33 Altars of Lilith, and the fastest collection route prioritizes mounts, waypoints, and sub-zone clusters to minimize backtracking.
Preparation
Unlock a mount early and grab key waypoints like Ked Bardu, Fate’s Retreat, and Onyx Watchtower for quick teleports. Complete the three Dry Steppes Strongholds (Onyx Watchtower, Qara-Yisu, Temple of Rot) last to reveal their altars.
Optimal starting route
Begin at Nostrava waypoint or Ked Bardu in Kotama Grasslands.
