Silent movement can mean the difference between victory and disaster in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Stealth Armor set grants Link the art of invisibility-if you know where to find it and how to earn it.
The Stealth Armor is helpful for approaching enemies without being detected.
How to get Stealth Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Head to Kakariko Village and enter the Eastwind armor shop at coordinates 1855, -0980, 0119. Each Stealth Armor piece-hood, chest guard, and tights-costs 5000 Rupees initially, but complete the side quest “Gloom-Borne Illness” first by gathering Sunset Fireflies, Blue Nightshade, and Sneaky River Snails to cook a dish for Lasli, which slashes prices to 70 Rupees per piece. Equip the full set to gain stealth boosts for sneaking past enemies or catching skittish animals.

The Enchanted armor shop is located within Kakariko Village, where you’ll find Claree at the counter. Her grandmother is sick, which explains why the prices on the armor are totally inflated – 5,000 rupees for a single piece of armor. But you can get a discount: You’ll have to help cure her grandma from the gloom-borne illness that the quest, Gloom-borne Illness, is named after.
Finishing the quest means grandma is safe and sound but also that the items will return to their regular prices, knocking the Stealth Armor pieces down in price. The Stealth Mask costs 500 rupees, while the Stealth Shirt is going for 700 rupees and the Stealth Tights are selling for 600 rupees.
(If you’ve already helped grandma, you can skip this and just buy the armor at your pleasure.)
You’ll have to find Claree’s sister Lasli sitting by her grandma’s house. Take a right and go past the pumpkin patch. Take the next right and head all the way to the back, where you’ll see Lasli to the left.
We’ve got a full guide for the “Gloom-borne Illness” quest and where to find ingredients, which are Hylian Rice, Fresh Milk, and Sundelion. This is the recipe for a Sunny Veggie Porridge with gloom-resistance properties. Cook the meal and talk to Lasli to complete the quest.
Then head back to the Enchanted shop, where Claree will have lowered prices on the Stealth Armor.
Stealth armor upgrade costs, set bonus, and effect
Upgrading the Stealth Armor requires Silent Princess flowers, Sunset Fireflies, and various monster parts, with each level increasing both defense and stealth enhancement. The costs rise significantly with each upgrade, so collecting materials early saves effort later. When all three pieces-the mask, chest guard, and tights-are worn together, Link gains a set bonus that reduces noise even further, allowing smoother movement near enemies and improved sneak attacks.
Each of the Stealth Armor pieces give you a stacking stealth up buff, allowing you to go undetected by enemies and critters easily. If you upgrade all of the pieces to two-star or higher and equip them, you’ll get an additional Night Speed Up set bonus, increasing your movement speed at night.
You’ll be able to upgrade the Stealth Armor set at a Great Fairy using the following:
- 1-star (4 defense): 3 blue nightshade, 10 rupees
- 2-star (6 defense): 5 sunset fireflies, 5 blue nightshade, 50 rupees
- 3-star (9 defense): 8 silent shrooms, 5 sneaky river snails, 5 sticky frogs, 200 rupees
- 4-star (16 defense): 10 sundelion, 10 stealthfin trout, 5 silent princesses, 500 rupees
To max everything out, you’ll need 24 blue nightshade, 30 sundelion, 15 silent princesses, 24 silent shrooms, 15 sunset fireflies, 15 sneaky river snails, 15 sticky frogs, and 2,280 rupees.
