All seven fragments of the Totem of Perseverance are hidden around Galawain’s Tusks and its capital, Solace Keep. As soon as you find one piece of the totem (or purchase the “Fragments of the Spoils” key item from Quartermaster Yorgu at Solace Keep), you’ll receive a quest to find and complete the Huntmaster’s Spoils. The quest, however, is full of cryptic riddles.

Here’s where to find all Totem of Perseverance pieces in Galawain’s Tusks in Avowed, and what bonuses you’ll receive upon completing the totem.

All Totem of Perseverance locations in Avowed

The Totem of Perseverance in Avowed is composed of seven pieces scattered throughout the Galawain’s Tusks region, including its capital, Solace Keep. To start assembling the totem, players must first locate the Totem Base, known as the Huntmaster’s Spoils, found at the Shrine to Galawain in the Twinedwood area. The other six fragments, such as the Antler of the Persevering Stag beneath the Bridge to the Garden and various Hunter’s Arrows and trophies, are hidden in diverse locations like caves, ruins, and summits across the region. Collecting all pieces triggers the quest Huntmaster’s Spoils, which involves solving riddles and rewards powerful buffs when the totem is reconstructed at the party camp. Each totem provides unique enhancements, but only one can be active at a time.

There are seven pieces of the Totem of Perseverance scattered around Galawain’s Tusks.

To start reconstructing the totem, you’ll need to find the totem’s core (the Galawain totem base), which we’ve labeled as number one in the map above. Once you’ve placed the totem’s core at the totem shrine in the party camp, you can add the totem’s fragments (numbers two through seven on the map) to gain powerful buffs. Each god totem grants up to six buffs – including bonuses to your attribute points – but you can only have one god totem active at a time.

Before searching for the totem pieces, we recommend turning on the “Compass – God Shrine Totem Pieces” setting at the bottom of the UI menu. Turning on this setting will make god totem pieces visible on your compass, and make it slightly easier to pinpoint their exact location in-game.

Above, you can find a map of all Totem of Perseverance locations. Or you can consult the table of contents below to jump to a corresponding detailed description of how to get a specific piece.

Totem of Perseverance core location (#1)

The Totem of Perseverance core, known as The Huntmaster’s Spoils, is located at the Shrine to Galawain in the Twinedwood area of Galawain’s Tusks. To find it, travel to the Twinedwood North Beacon, then head east to the entrance of the shrine. Inside, defeat the ogres guarding the area and ascend the stairs on the western side of the shrine to discover the Totem Core resting on an altar. This location is heavily guarded, so be prepared for combat. Activating the “Com – God Totem” option in the UI menu can help by showing the totem pieces on your compass, making them easier to locate.

The Totem Core can be found at the Shrine to Galawain.

Be wary as the Shrine to Galawain is guarded by Congasar and Crusta, two ogres with a bounty, and a lot of enemies.

Antler of the Persevering Stag location (#2)

The Antler of the Persevering Stag can be found in the southeastern part of Galawain’s Tusks, near the Bridge to the Garden, also known as the Godless Tower in the quest journal. Instead of crossing the bridge, look to its right side and drop down to a ledge underneath. The totem piece is located there next to a dead body at the end of the walkway. This piece is often encountered during the “Dreams Divide Still” story quest, so it is recommended to collect it while progressing through the quest to avoid backtracking. The Antler grants the “Quarry to Slaughter” buff, increasing damage against prone enemies by 75%.

The Antler of the Persevering Stag can be found before the bridge leading to the Godless Tower in the southeastern corner of Galawain’s Tusks.

The location of the Antler of the Persevering Stag isn’t nearby any fast travel beacon or party camp, but it’s a location you’ll visit during the “Our Dreams Divide Us Still” main story quest. Make sure to grab it during the quest, so you don’t have to make the trek back!

To find the Antler of the Persevering Stag, follow these steps:

  1. Travel to the Twinedwood South Beacon.
  2. Continue east until you reach a bridge leading to the Godless Tower.
  3. Walk towards the edge of the cliff on the right side of the bridge and hop down to the platforms below.

After exiting the cave, turn right and look for an illusory wall that Yatzli must dispel to reveal the entrance. Inside, burn away the brambles blocking a small hut where the Antler awaits on a stone table. This fragment grants the “Bloodied Hands” effect, causing critical hits to deal high bleed accumulation, and is part of the Totem of Perseverance quest to assemble the powerful Huntmaster’s Spoils totem.
