Here are all the endgame bosses in Diablo 4. We’ve also provided details on how to summon each boss plus a rundown of the rewards you can get for defeating them.

How to summon Echo of Varshan

To summon the Echo of Varshan in Diablo 4, players must be at World Tier 3 or 4 and gather specific materials known as Malignant Hearts, requiring 2 hearts at World Tier 3 or 5 hearts at World Tier 4. Additionally, players need to collect three body parts of Varshan-the Trembling Hand, Blackened Femur, and Gurgling Head-obtained from Grotesque Debtors during the Whispers of the Dead events near the Tree of Whispers in northern Hawezar. Once these items are collected, players head to the Malignant Burrow dungeon, located beside the Tree of Whispers, where they sacrifice the materials at the summoning altar to initiate the boss fight. Crafting the body parts is also possible through an Alchemist vendor if farming proves too tedious. It is recommended to summon Echo of Varshan with a team due to the boss’s difficulty, especially at higher tiers.

Echo of Varshan is available on both World Tier 3 and World Tier 4, with different requirements to summon for each World Tier.

If you’re playing on World Tier 3, you’ll need to obtain Malignant Body Parts from Grotesque Debtors from Whisper Caches. You can obtain Whisper Caches by offering 10 Grim Favors to the Tree of Whispers. If you want to fight the Echo of Varshan on World Tier 4, you will also need a Malignant Heart to tackle this boss.

  • Cosmetic: Flesh-Weld Rod Trophy

How to summon Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint

To summon Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint in Diablo 4, you need to collect Living Steel, a special material obtained from Tortured Gifts during Helltide events. The amount required depends on your World Tier: 2 Living Steel for World Tier 3 or 5 for World Tier 4. Once you have enough, travel to the Hall of the Penitent dungeon located in the Dry Steppes region, south of Ked Bardu. Inside the dungeon, proceed to the Chamber of Penitence where you will find a Light-Touched Altar. Interact with the altar and sacrifice the required Living Steel to summon Grigoire and begin the boss fight. Preparing with high Lightning Resistance and a strong build is recommended due to Grigoire’s lightning-based attacks.

Grigoire can be encountered on World Tier 3 and World Tier 4. The element for this boss is Lightning, so make sure to stock up on Lightning resistance Elixirs or slot some Topazes into your gear before you take on this boss.

You’ll need to obtain Living Steel from Tortured Offerings in Helltides to fight Grigoire. Helltides become accessible once you are able to jump into World Tier 3 and are designated by a red marker that features a sword surrounded by fire.

How to summon the Beast in Ice

To summon the Beast in the Ice in Diablo 4, you need to collect nine Distilled Fear, which drops from completing Nightmare Dungeons at Tier 21 or higher, with better drop rates at higher tiers. Once you have the required Distilled Fear, head to the Glacial Fissure dungeon in the Fractured Peaks region near Kyovashad. At the end of this dungeon, use the Distilled Fear at the summoning altar to call forth the Beast in the Ice. The fight involves battling through waves of enemies before facing the boss, who uses powerful cold-based attacks, so maximizing your cold resistance and using a Cold Resistance Elixir is highly recommended. For a more challenging encounter with better rewards, you can summon the Tormented version by using 27 Distilled Fear and one Stygian Stone, which raises the boss to level 200 and significantly increases its difficulty.

The Beast in Ice can be encountered in World Tier 4. As one would expect, its element is Ice, which means you will want to boost your Ice resistance as much as possible before using your Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil. Naturally, this boss will be weak to fire, so if you’re a Sorcerer, get ready to whip out those Hydras.

In order to summon The Beast in Ice, you’ll need to collect Distilled Fear, which you can obtain by tackling Tier 30 or higher Nightmare Dungeons. Once you’ve collected your Distilled Fear, you can then head over to any Occultist to craft a Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil to challenge the Beast in Ice.

The Beast in Ice rewards

  • Barbarian: Fields of Crimson, 100,000 Steps, Ancients’ Oath, Battle Trance, Hellhammer
  • Druid: Insatiable Fury, Hunter’s Zenith, Waxing Gibbous, Storm’s Companion

To summon Lord Zir, also known as The Dark Master, players must be at World Tier 4 and collect nine Exquisite Blood items. These can be obtained primarily from Legion Events, World Bosses, and Helltide Bosses, which are marked on the map for easy farming. Once you have the nine Exquisite Blood, travel to the Darkened Way in the Fractured Peaks region and enter the Ancient’s Seat dungeon. Inside, interact with the Bloodied Altar to offer the Exquisite Blood and summon Lord Zir. For the Tormented version, which is a tougher level 200 boss, you need 27 Exquisite Blood and 2 Stygian Stones, which can be found in chests in The Pit. Defeating Lord Zir rewards unique items and is a key part of endgame content in Diablo 4.

Lord Zir, also known as The Dark Master, can be challenged at World Tier 4.

In order to challenge Duriel, you will need to respectively obtain Mucus-slick Eggs and Shards of Agony from the Echo of Varshan and Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint.
