Lost amid Hebra’s biting winds, Yamiyo Shrine hides a trial of cunning Recall mechanics that bend time itself.
When you’re done, our shrine locations page or interactive Hyrule map can direct you toward something else to do.
Yamiyo Shrine location
Yamiyo Shrine sits on the western edge of the Gerudo Highlands at coordinates (-3881, -2298, 0389). Players reach it by heading northwest from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower or paragliding down from the nearby Mount Rhoam. The shrine entrance appears as a standard stone pedestal on a rocky outcrop overlooking the desert expanse below. Activate it with an arrow shot or melee strike to open the door and begin the puzzle inside.
The Yamiyo Shrine is found northeast of the Lookout Landing and to the north of the Romani Plains in the Hyrule Field region. The coordinates for the Yamiyo Shrine are (0333, 0468, 0029).
Yamiyo Shrine walkthrough
Enter Yamiyo Shrine on the Gerudo Highlands plateau at coordinates (-4529, -2515, 0385). Inside, use Ultrahand to lift the two large blocks and stack them against the wall, creating a path over the gap to the first switch. Strike the glowing orb with an arrow or weapon to open the gate, then repeat the process with additional blocks to reach the higher platforms. Fuse metal weapons to metal plates for weight, attach them to blocks with Ultrahand, and float them upward using updrafts from the fans below. Activate the final switch to reveal the reward chest containing a Large Zonaite, then proceed to the altar for your Light of Blessing.

The Yamiyo Shrine is a combat-focused challenge that changes the way you think about ingredients. Ingredients are not only used to create items, but they can be used in combat as throwable items.
- Enter the Yamiyo Shrine and grab the fire fruit from the trees at the bottom of the stairs.
- Prepare to throw the fire fruit by holding down the “R” button and pressing “Up” on the D-Pad to select the fire fruit.
- Throw the fire fruit at the Construct to set it on fire.
- Hit the Construct with one more fire fruit to defeat it.
- Walk around the elevated platform into the door ahead and interact with the treasure chest to receive three bomb flowers.
- Interact with the sigil to finish the Yamiyo Shrine.
How to complete Sepapa Shrine nearby
Sepapa Shrine is nearby Yamiyo Shrine, further north in Hyrule Field at coordinates around 0223, 1084, 0028, east of Hyrule Castle across the moat.
This “Backtrack” shrine teaches Link’s Recall ability to reverse object motion.โ
Getting There
Head north from Yamiyo Shrine past Boneyard Bridge; it’s on a small island with river views, marked by green shrine glow.
First Puzzle: Raft and Torch
Climb the moving platform and use Recall to ride it upward.โ
Grab the torch, light it on nearby flames while riding the emerging raft across water, then burn vines on the far wall to drop a chest with a Strong Construct Bow.
Second Puzzle: Fire Gate
Recall the raft to return, relight the torch en route, and ignite two fire pillars beside the gate to open it.
Ball Gates Finale
Place the orb in the upper socket to open the second gate, then the lower one for the first gate.โ
Run through the first gate, Recall the orb to roll it back up into the upper socket (opening the second gate), and proceed to the altar for your Light of Blessing.โ
Where to find the Strong Construct Bow chest in Sepapa Shrine
Sepapa Shrine’s Strong Construct Bow chest is in the first large room after the opening staircase, on a wooden platform behind vines on the far wall across the water.
How to Access It
Ride the emerging wooden raft across the water while holding the lit torch (ignite it on the nearby flames in the river).
At the far side, use the torch to burn the vines; this destroys the platform, dropping the chest with the Strong Construct Bow (Attack Power 11).
Quick Alternatives
Fire Fruit fused to an arrow or a fire arrow can also burn the vines from afar without the raft.
