From the sunlit fields of the Sun-Speckled Terrace to the eerie depths of the Cavern for a King, Pikmin 4 challenges players to master every stage and objective. Here’s where you’ll find every area, hidden treasure, and task that stands between you and full completion.

Pikmin 4 has six stages and each one will only unlock once you grab enough treasure and complete story objectives. Treasure you get will get turned into Sparklium, which helps power your ship to find new areas. There is a ton of treasure in the game, so you shouldn’t have any problems nabbing enough to unlock stages. If you’re in a rut, remember to use Oatchi’s sleuthing abilities to sniff out more treasure.

Below, we list out all Pikmin 4 stages along with how many collectables (rescues, treasures, and Onions) are in each one. Note that when we list Onions, that also includes Flarlic bulbs (the Onions that expand how many Pikmin you can have out but do not unlock new Pikmin).

Sun-Speckled Terrace

Sunlight filters through overhead leaves onto this open terrace, where Pikmin climb vines and leap across gaps to reach distant ledges. Enemies like Skitterleaves and Fiery Blowhogs patrol the area, blocking paths to hidden treasures and castaways. Clear the central bulbmin nests and bury seeds to build up your squad before tackling elevated platforms and narrow bridges.

This is the starting area, which is a garden outside of the home. Here, you’ll learn how to play the basics of the game using a few different Pikmin types.

Blossoming Arcadia is a lush and colorful stage filled with blooming plants, hidden treasures, and gentle creatures. Players guide their Pikmin across overgrown paths and mossy ruins, solving puzzles and collecting items scattered throughout the area. Strategic use of each Pikmin type is key to uncovering secrets, reaching high ledges, and battling local wildlife that guards valuable resources.

This is a flowery area closer to the imposing house you see in the distance. You’ll need to utilize Rock Pikmin and Blue Pikmin to fully explore the area.

Serene Shores

Serene Shores features a calm coastal zone filled with shallow waters, sandy stretches, and coral formations that hide valuable treasures and creatures. Players must guide their Pikmin through tidal pools and slippery rocks to uncover buried items and rescue stranded castaways. Strategic use of Blue Pikmin is key to navigating water areas, while Winged and Rock Pikmin help with aerial paths and breaking shells scattered along the beach.

This sandy area features a mix of high and low tides: The water in the area will lower about halfway through the day. Use a mix of Blue, Ice, and Pink Pikmin to traverse the waters easily.

Hero’s Hideaway

Hero’s Hideaway serves as a key cave in Pikmin 4, packed with tight passages and enemy clusters that test your squad’s coordination. Players collect treasures like the Seed of Doubt while tackling objectives such as defeating fire-spitting enemies and rescuing stranded Pikmin. Clear the area by splitting your forces wisely-Red Pikmin handle flames, while Blues navigate water hazards-to push forward in the campaign.

The inside of the house is daunting, but it’s only the first floor of a home. You’ll need to master using several Pikmin types, including Ice and Rock Pikmin to fully explore this area.

Giant’s Hearth

Giant’s Hearth is a fiery area filled with lava pools, rocky platforms, and mechanical hazards that challenge both strategy and timing. Managing Red Pikmin, known for their fire resistance, is key to completing objectives and reaching hidden areas guarded by flame-based enemies.

This is the backyard (kind of) of the house, complete with a brick grilling area. You’ll need to use fiery pinecones and Red Pikmin to unlock all the different areas.

The Primordial Thicket presents dense foliage and hidden paths filled with early-game objectives. Sun-Speckled Terrace, the first area in Pikmin 4, contains 34 treasures (14 on the surface and 20 in caves), 7 rescues (including 5 regular castaways and 2 leaflings), and 4 Onions/Flarlic. Players use Red, Yellow, Blue, and Ice Pikmin to access these, often requiring actions like digging, smashing pots, freezing water, or defeating enemies.​

These 14 items are scattered across quadrants and yield 1,140 Sparklium total.​

• Aspiration-Ritual Ball: Northeast from start; use Oatchi to rush wall.

• Lesser Mock Bottom: Nearby pots after slope.

How to find all 7 rescues in Sun-Speckled Terrace

Sun-Speckled Terrace in Pikmin 4 has 7 rescues: 5 regular castaways and 2 leaflings, found on the surface, in Dandori Challenges, and across four main caves. Access requires Red, Yellow, Ice, and Blue Pikmin for tasks like freezing water, building platforms, digging, and defeating enemies. Follow these steps in order of typical progression.​

Surface and Dandori Rescues

Two rescues come early via challenges; others need Pikmin upgrades.

• Complete Dandori Day Care and Trial Run challenges near the base camp to rescue 2 leaflings automatically upon success.​

• Surface leafling: Flatten the paper bag in the bottom-left quadrant (southwest corner) with enough Pikmin after lowering the nearby bridge using Yellow Pikmin.​

Cave Rescues

Enter caves after gathering initial Pikmin; use glow mode or Oatchi sniffing for precision.​
