Destiny 2 Archie Moon location quest guide for Into The Light and Neomuna

Guides

Every week in Destiny 2’s ongoing “Where in the System is Archie?” questline, Guardians embark on a new adventure to find the beloved Exo pup, Archie. This time, the trail leads to the Moon, where players must team up with Eris Morn and explore iconic lunar landmarks-from the broken accelerator at Archer’s Line to the eerie Temple of Crota and the foreboding Hellmouth-to uncover Archie’s latest hiding spot before the quest expires with the weekly reset.

Note this quest expires on the May 21 weekly reset, and will be replaced by another Archie quest in a new location. Remember, provided you complete any Archie quest before the arrival of The Final Shape, you’ll get your hands on the Blue Steel shader, while the lore for all Archie quests will be available from June 4 on.

How to start ’Where on the Moon is Archie?’ in Destiny 2

To start the “Where on the Moon is Archie?” quest in Destiny 2, first head to the Annex in the Tower, just outside Ada-1’s room, where Archie is usually found. Investigate the neon paw prints left behind and then speak with Ada-1 to officially begin the quest. After that, travel to the Moon and find Eris Morn at Sanctuary, who will provide more details and send you on the search for Archie across several key lunar locations. This quest is part of the weekly “Into the Light” updates and involves following clues around the Moon to locate Archie.

To start the latest “Where is Archie” quest, head to the Tower’s Annex and find the paw prints. For future reference, this is where you’ll find the beginning of every Archie quest each week.

You can reach this location by using the southwest-most fast travel point, then traveling straight ahead down the corridor. The paw prints will appear on the ledge to your right.

Investigate the prints and go talk to Ada-1 (found in the Annex proper opposite) to start the latest quest.

Now, head to the Moon, and speak to vendor Eris Morn in their usual spot in Sanctuary, at the very south of the destination. Once done, the search begins.

All Archie Moon locations

Archie can be found in four key locations on the Moon during the “Where on the Moon is Archie?” quest in Destiny 2. First, near the damaged accelerator in Archer’s Line, where you can spot his paw prints at the base of the broken structure. Second, at the Temple of Crota, northeast of the Anchor of Light, accessible by following the path behind the large circular building and ascending the stairs inside the temple. Third, in the northwest corner of the Hellmouth, near the altar used to enter Crota’s End and the site of the Summoning Ritual Public Event. Finally, Archie is located by the Pyramid ship at the base of the Scarlet Keep; to reach him, enter the keep from Sorrow’s Harbor, take the left door, and follow the left wall through the Enduring Abyss until you see the lunar Pyramid and Archie’s paw prints on the ground. Finding him in these locations completes the quest and rewards players with Trophies of Bravery and a special gift from Ada-1.

Here is where to find Archie on the Moon, clue-by-clue.

’Archie was hoping to send supplies to his friends across the system using the accelerator. Too bad it’s broken’ location

The first clue takes you to Archer’s Line, which is the area just to the west of Eris Morn and Sanctuary.

Emerging from the south, you’ll see some a paw print or two on the path. Go north a little further, and you’ll see an orange platform to the right.

On this platform you’ll find the complete set of paw prints.

Investigate these to get the next clue.

’Archie wanted to see the temple where Guardians famously “woke the Hive”’ location

This clue refers to the Temple of Crota, which is a named area not on the map. To get there, head to Archor of Light, then exit out the path going east.

You know you’re in the right place when “Temple of Crota” appears on screen

Battle your way through into the entrance and enter the temple.

Once inside, stay on the top floor, and on the far side are the paw prints you are looking for.

Next, it’s time to visit the Hellmouth.

’Archie heard about a place where Guardians took a plunge to defeat a Hive prince. Then some Witches started performing a ritual’ location

This clue refers to the Hellmouth, a location in the center of the Moon.

Specifically, you want to head to this archway on the edge of the Hellmouth’s opening, located on the west side. (See the above map screenshot for the exact location.)

Not far from the arch are the paw prints.

Investigate them to get the final clue.

’Archie’s last stop. He decided to ignore Eris’s warnings and go find out what was so special about a lunar Pyramid’ location

This final location will be familiar to those who have played the Shadowkeep expansion.

Go to Sorrow’s Harbor – which is the area in the north-east of the destination – and exit out of the northeast passage, which sees you flanked by red walls and has a tower looming in the distance. (See the above map screenshot for the exact location.)

At the end, take the doorway left, and follow the route through the Enduring Abyss and its dark cave, until you emerge with a view of the Earth on the horizon. (The path here is linear, so you won’t take any wrong turns.)

Continue on until you emerge at the Pyramid ship. A single paw print on the ground indicates you are going in the right direction.

We’re almost there. Drop down to the path below, and continue until you reach a series of rocky outcrops. Archie will be on the center-most one.

Interact with Archie, then revisit Ada back in the Tower to complete the quest.

As well as 10 Trophy of Bravery – useful for getting more Brave weapons – you’ll also receive “A Cool Rock.” Whether you keep it is up to you. Archie will be sad if you don’t!

Where exactly is Archie hiding on the Moon’s lunar surface in Destiny 2

Archie is hiding in four distinct locations on the Moon in Destiny 2 during the “Where on the Moon is Archie?” quest:

  1. Archer’s Line – Near the broken accelerator, a large yellow platform below the ruined railgun structure where Archie’s paw prints appear.

  2. Temple of Crota – Inside the Anchor of Light area, tucked behind a large circular yellow building, near where a Ritualist of Xivu Arath spawns.

  3. Hellmouth – Accessible from Sorrow’s Harbor, near the entrance to Crota’s End raid, where paw prints are found opposite the Hive altar used to enter the raid.

  4. Lunar Pyramid – The final location is inside the Scarlet Keep, through the Enduring Abyss, leading to the World’s Grave area with a view of Earth, where Archie stands on a rock on a narrow ledge near the Pyramid itself.

At the Lunar Pyramid, after following the paw prints, players find Archie alone on a rock and can offer him Pawsitive Reinforcement to complete the quest.

What specific landmark marks Archie’s final hiding spot on the Moon in Destiny 2

Archie’s final hiding spot on the Moon in Destiny 2 is marked by the lunar Pyramid located within the Scarlet Keep. After navigating through the Enduring Abyss and following a narrow ledge with paw prints, players will find Archie standing alone on a rock in the center of the area near the Pyramid itself, with a view of Earth in the background.
