Increase Inventory Space and Capacity in Final Fantasy 16

Guides

Running out of room for gear and materials in Final Fantasy 16? Here’s how to expand your inventory space, carry more loot, and keep Clive fully stocked for the toughest battles on PlayStation.

As you’re playing Final Fantasy 16, you’ll be bombarded with the message: “Insufficient inventory space. Potion used.” With a maximum of four potions and three high potions available to use in the beginning of the game, you’ll start to wonder when you can finally hold onto more potions. Luckily, you can increase your potion capacity by completing the side quests “Weird Science” and “Even Weirder Science,” but it will take some time to reach these quests.

How to increase your inventory size in Final Fantasy 16

Complete the Weird Science side quest in the Hideaway after the Letting Off Steam III main quest to receive the Treated Potion Satchel, which boosts potion capacity from four to six potions, three to four high potions, and two to three each of strength and stoneskin tonics. Progress further to unlock Even Weirder Science from the same engineer Owain, where clearing three Fallen Ruins grants the Expanded Potion Satchel for maximum capacity of eight potions, five high potions, and four each of tonics. These upgrades apply only to consumables and complete inventory expansion in the game.

In Final Fantasy 16, you can increase the amount of potions you can carry by completing the side quests “Weird Science” and “Even Weirder Science.”
