Earn exclusive gear and limited-time bonuses through the Shared Watch event in Arc Raiders. Here’s everything you need to know about the challenges, rewards, and how to make the most of this community-driven mission.
Arc Raiders Shared Watch event explained
The Shared Watch event in Arc Raiders lets players team up across squads to tackle timed objectives on the surface, earning collective progress toward global milestones. Active for a limited period, it features daily quests and boss encounters that reward all participants based on shared server-wide achievements. Points accumulate from kills, extractions, and event-specific tasks, unlocking tiers of cosmetics, boosters, and gear for everyone involved. Check the in-game event tab to track standings and claim prizes before it ends.

TheShared Watch event in Arc Raiders is enabled from Tuesday, Feb. 10 until Tuesday, Feb. 24 for every visit topside. This means that unlike map conditions, which work on a 24-hour schedule, you have no choice but to partake. While previous events have worked in the same way, such as Flickering Flames over the winter break, Shared Watch has a universally applied rule: engaging in PvP will not reward merits.
The only way to earn merits, which are used to progress through the event track and earn rewards, is by fighting Arc enemies. 100 XP is converted to one merit, earned through damaging, destroying, and assisting the destruction of Arc. So you can still PvP and loot, but if you want the rewards available here, you need to engage with the PvE enemies roaming every map.
Shared Watch event rewards in Arc Raiders
Shared Watch events in Arc Raiders reward players for teamwork and consistent participation. By completing mission objectives and cooperative challenges, participants earn in-game items such as gear upgrades, customization materials, and seasonal cosmetics. Progress is shared across the squad, allowing everyone to contribute to collective milestones and claim tiered rewards. Limited-time objectives often grant exclusive items, encouraging players to return regularly and stay active during the event period.

Here are all of the rewards available in Shared Watch, all earned in 50 merit increments, with the final reward costing 1,050 merits:

Fastest way to farm merits in Shared Watch event
You earn Merits only from XP gained by damaging, killing, or assisting in killing ARC enemies, so the fastest farming methods all boil down to stacking as much safe ARC damage per minute as possible.
Core principles
-
Focus purely on ARC: ignore players and PvP entirely, since they give 0 XP toward Merits.
-
Farm high-density ARC zones: major map conditions like Bird City, Electromagnetic Storm, and Night Raid spawn far more enemies in tighter areas.โโ
-
Prioritize big targets: bosses such as Matriarchs, Harvesters, Queens, and other world events are “bullet sponge” ARC that give a lot of XP per fight.
-
Stay in groups: assists give XP too, so fighting alongside other Raiders increases the amount of ARC you can safely tag and damage.โ
Fastest farming route (loop)
-
Pick a map with a major ARC condition active (Bird City is commonly recommended because of its very high ARC density).โโ
-
Move between active ARC events and world bosses (Matriarch/Harvester/Queen), prioritizing anything with lots of tanky enemies you can keep shooting for a long time.
-
Tag everything: put at least some damage into every ARC in the fight so you get XP from kills and assists even if someone else finishes them.โ
-
Use high-uptime DPS weapons and ammo-efficient builds so you can keep firing almost constantly during big fights.โโ
-
Avoid distractions: skip PvP opportunities, long detours, and low-value activities; you want near-continuous combat with ARC.
Extra optimization tips
-
Farm boss events repeatedly: loading into boss-centric events and dumping damage into them can yield well over 200 Merits in a single strong run.โโ
-
Prefer smaller, ARC-dense maps if you are solo or low-geared, so you spend less time traveling and more time shooting enemies.
-
Use tools like scanners or lures (where available) to pull in clusters of ARC, then burn them down quickly for a spike of XP.
-
Play during peak hours so there are more Raiders around to help spawn and clear big events safely and fast.โโ
If you tell me your preferred build and whether you usually play solo or in a squad, I can adapt this into a concrete “per hour” farming route for you.
Best loadout for Matriarch farming in Shared Watch
For Matriarch farming in Shared Watch, you want one armor shredder, one high-DPS ARC killer, and as many meds/shields as you can carry, plus mobility to avoid wipes.
Weapons
-
Primary (ARC killer): Osprey or similar high-damage medium rifle; if you lack it, use Renegade/Anvil or another hard-hitting medium weapon with extended mag/barrel.โ
-
Secondary (shredder): weapon that reliably strips armor (Betina/Stitcher-type or other “shredder” plus hullcracker/armor-piercing ammo if you have it).โ
-
Tertiary/utility: something you’re comfortable with for adds and emergency PvP (Venator, SMG, etc.), but do not over-invest ammo here.โ
Ammo setup
-
Rough baseline: 2 stacks light, 4 stacks heavy, 6 stacks medium for solo or duo Matriarch runs.โโ
-
Prioritize medium ammo (your Osprey/primary) over everything else; heavy ammo is mainly for armor breaking and big burst windows.โโ
Defensive and utility items
-
Shields: at least one medium or heavy shield equipped, plus multiple shield rechargers; bring extra light shield as backup if you’re still learning the fight.โโ
-
Healing: Vita Spray or similar quick-use heals, plus extra meds in inventory so you can stay in the arena longer without extracting.
-
Lure grenades: great panic tool to peel light/heavy ARC off you or reset position when things get crowded.โ
-
Rubber parts: lets you craft more rechargers mid-fight by recycling cells, which massively improves sustain in long Matriarch runs.โ
-
Mobility: Snap Hook is preferred; ziplines can work but are riskier if Matriarch pathing or other Raiders cut your route.โโ
Recommended playstyle
-
Open with shredder + heavy ammo to strip armor as fast as possible, then swap to your high-DPS medium weapon and stay on exposed cores.โ
-
Fight at medium range so Osprey-type rifles keep high hit-rate while you still have time to dodge big attacks.
-
Use terrain to break line of sight: peek for 5-10 seconds of burst on weak spots, then duck back to shield/meds while Matriarch cycles attacks.โ
If you tell me which weapons and blueprints you actually own, I can turn this into an exact three-weapon loadout and inventory grid tailored to your stash.
