Gemimik Shrine location

Gemimik Shrine is found in the Lanayru Great Spring region, on a small island in the waters northeast of Zora’s Domain. The exact coordinates are around (4525, 2870, 0009). You can reach it by gliding from the nearby Upland Zorana Skyview Tower or by swimming and using Zonai devices to stay afloat. The shrine sits on a raised rocky surface, easy to spot thanks to the surrounding shallow waters and glowing runes at night.

The Gemimik Shrine is found within the Akkala Highlands region, directly east of East Akkala Plains, at the center of the Rist Peninsula spiral jetty. Its exact location is (4513, 2116, 0001).

Gemimik Shrine ‘Turbine Power’ location and walkthrough

Gemimik Shrine, titled “Turbine Power,” is found in the Southwestern part of the Hebra region at coordinates (-2998, 3102, 0515). Inside the shrine, use the turbine fans to move platforms and create air currents that lift you across gaps. Begin by attaching turbines to the movable platforms, then activate them to reach higher ledges. One chest sits on an elevated platform to the left; use a fan-powered glider to reach it. For the final section, align multiple fans to lift the large platform and glide to the exit gate to complete the puzzle.

The Gemimik Shrine’s “Turbine Power” trial requires using the Ultrahand ability to solve a single-room puzzle.

1. As you enter the main room, you’ll see an unpowered turbine in the center, a yellow-colored power generator to the left, and a large metal plate laying on the floor in the far left corner. Using Ultrahand, grab the metal plate and use it complete the circuit from the power generator to the turbine. (You’ll see the metal plate start to conduct electricity when you have it lined up correctly.)

2. With the turbine powered on, head to the right of the room, where a rotor fan is laying on the floor. Using Ultrahand, grab the fan and attach it to the turbine. The spinning fan will create a column of wind shooting upward.

3. Climb the stairs to the right of the spinning fan and jump onto the gust of wind, deploying Link’s paraglider to launch him upward. In the upper far right corner of the room is a platform with a chest that you can reach by paragliding over to it. That chest contains a mighty Zonaite shield.

4. From that platform, jump back toward the wind gust, and glide to the back left corner of the room, where three Zonai flame emitters are resting on an elevated platform. Be careful, one of those Zonai flame emitters is already spraying fire!

5. Using Ultrahand, grab one of the flame emitters and drop it on the floor of the room. Using it, you’ll need to light eight torches surrounding the spinning turbine. The easiest way to do this is to turn on the flame emitter (by striking it with a melee weapon) and attach it to the top of the spinning turbine mechanism. This will create a whirlwind of flame that will light all eight torches instantaneously, solving the “Turbine Power” puzzle.

Best route to reach Gemimik Shrine from Tarrey Town

From Tarrey Town, the best route to Gemimik Shrine follows the Rist Peninsula’s spiral sandbar northeast into the sea while minimizing enemy encounters. This path avoids long climbs and leverages the town’s proximity in Akkala, taking about 5-10 minutes on foot or less by boat.โ€‹

Step-by-Step Land Route

  • Exit Tarrey Town heading northeast downhill toward the coast, following the natural dirt path that curves around the peninsula’s outer edge.โ€‹

  • Stick to the narrow sandbar spiral, dealing with sparse Bokoblins by sneaking or fighting; watch for Octoroks shooting rocks from the water.โ€‹

  • Continue inward along the tightening spiral until reaching the shrine at the center (coordinates 4513, 2116, 0001).โ€‹

Recommended Boat Route

  • Build a simple boat nearby using Zonai devices: a Raft base, Fan for propulsion, and Steering Stick for control (scavenge wood and parts from Tarrey Town or shores).โ€‹

  • Launch from the Akkala coast near Tarrey Town and sail between sandbars, dodging Aerocudas in the air and Octoroks below.โ€‹

  • Land directly at the shrine’s central island to skip most ground enemies.โ€‹

Alternatives to Avoid Combat

  • Activate Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower (slightly northwest of Tarrey Town) first, launch eastward, and paraglide straight to the shrine if stamina allows (eat Stamella Shrooms for boosts).โ€‹

  • Use nearby Rasitakiwak Shrine (southwest of Tarrey Town) as a fast-travel point, then paraglide or boat northeast.โ€‹

Fastest path from Tarrey Town to Gemimik Shrine without a paraglider

The fastest path from Tarrey Town to Gemimik Shrine without a paraglider uses a Zonai boat to sail directly along the Rist Peninsula’s spiral, bypassing most land enemies. This route takes under 5 minutes and avoids the longer foot trek around Bokoblin camps.โ€‹

Materials for Boat

  • Gather 4-5 logs or a Raft from nearby shores/Tarrey Town scraps.

  • Attach 1 Fan (for propulsion) and 1 Steering Stick (for turns) using Ultrahand.

  • Add optional Wing for minor air skips if waves are rough.โ€‹

Boat Route Steps

  • Build/launch from Akkala coastline just northeast of Tarrey Town (near 3950, 2050, 0020).

  • Sail eastward into the sea, hugging outer sandbars of Rist Peninsula’s clockwise spiral.

  • Dodge Octoroks by zigzagging; speed past Aerocudas overhead.

  • Cut inward through gaps between sandbars, landing at shrine center (4513, 2116, 0001).โ€‹

Fallback Foot Path (Slower)

  • Head northeast from Tarrey Town downhill to peninsula tip, then spiral inward on foot (fight/sneak 4-6 Bokoblins).

  • This doubles travel time but requires no building.โ€‹
